Real fine shave this morning, back with an "old friend" combination..Clubman A.S. with barbershop soap. 0:30 at the Loading Dock(Doc?) to set up the Maggard. Boy, that Grandpa's Barbershop is WATERY, even after all this time of non-use(although I mentioned yesterday there is a small "pool" of water in the middle, along the top). Fine sweeping motion across face&neck, and I was ready to get the shave going. All went well during the first pass, EXCEPT(you guessed it)a cut just at the top left corner of Cactus Nation(actually, I felt some of it at the jawline). I'm tired of getting cuts during the first pass. I thought it might get bad, but it ended up staying where it was(non-spreading). That was the only problem. 2nd pass was real good. This Central Texas soap is one of my favorites. I'm much further along with Grandpa's Barbershop than with my other two. Course I just bought one a few weeks ago(Down At The River). So nice to finish off with what has been a lifetime favorite aftershave-Clubman. All right, not LIFETIME, as I can state with confidence that I didn't start shaving before I turned a year old. The cut drops the comment down to Super Duper Excellent.

You”re a good Dad, Andrew! I wish I were there for my three boys’ first shave, but I traveled all the time during my working life. Fortunately, I’ve benn able to mentor two of their sons. Great work!

Boy, you put an interesting thought into my head. I think they happen right at the beginning. Course the pivoting head could be a factor. At my next (K)nick, I'll try to figure out what the blade position was.

Hi Gary, how are you? Thank you-I was pleased overall. At first, I was real worried about that cut, but in the end it wasn't as bad as those from yesterday.

Great shave, Paul! Gotta watch that pressure, my friend, if you want to avoid those cuts! It’s a lot harder to do with those light disposables. With a simple Chrome or metal DE you can let the weight of the razor do the work!

We do. Seems like there are so many things to think about as we shave, to make it a great one. But that's why we're here at TSD, right?
