Well, I have considered the better razors, but it takes me longer time than it should to "Inject" the blade. But I'll look at those next time I'm at CVS.

I guess we’ll see how it shaves. It was sold as shave ready, but Ben says to disregard all that. He’s going to be teaching me how to hone this Tuesday. He showed me the ‘tilt and wobble’ test to assess whether there’s a decent bevel set. He says even if it’s described as ‘shave ready’ that a touch up on the jasper stone won’t hurt. We’ll see. He’s definitely pushed me down this straight razor rabbit hole!

I am slowly working my way through this soap, possibly 15-20 more shaves left in it. When the Edmund Fitzgerald comes a calling, this soap will be the second to hit the deep in 2020. I may Edmund three by the end of the year.

Very cool morning here on LI for the first time in a while. Definitely a dreary day, with a little rain so it looks like the pool and outdoor grilling/smoking will not happen today. Therefore, my son’s cooking tutorials will continue. He has been asking for some spaghetti and meatballs. He will work with me on making the meatballs and the sauce.

As for today’s shave, a very comfortable three pass shave with a nice subtle menthol finish with the Floid Genuine splash.

Now it is time to make eh the sauce. Or is it gravy? Oh I must have just opened a can of worms. :duel:

Y'know, right after the cut I focused on less pressure......no more after that(cuts)....I need to get the focus going just at the beginning. I was thinking that a pivot disposeABLE could at least guide it a little better, but I will look at the better kinds....

Great shave, Joe! I’m not familiar with that safety razor! Could you provide a little background? Have great day on this overcast Sunday!

That's the kind of talk I heard while visiting Colorado a few years ago....I recall the receptionist of my Inn saying on the phone, "Once you enter Golden from Denver, the directions are Super Duper Easy". :)
