  1. Way to go. That’s a nice time of year weather wise. The worst of the summer heat is over and you’ll be done before winter gets too bad.

  2. Not directly....:(

Art of Shaving typically offers a shaving cream, after shave balm, then what they call 'Cologne Intense' in each fragrance.

All are very nice refined products, but spendy. There are more expensive artisans or manufacturers that exist, but not many. Quality (performance, packaging, end result) equals the $ spent, in my opinion. The aromas between the products also match very well, however the balms seem a little 'scent recessed'. Their shave creams are scent forward in comparison. 'Cologne Intense' lives up to that name, easily lasting 6-8+ hours with my skin chemistry.

  3. I forgot about that heat over there in Paris island for a second now that you mentioned it. Yea I have to agree that's a good time to go. My recruiter is in the process of trying to get me the MOS I wanted. I scored high enough for it. I wanna say I got a 102 GT score. But the MOS I want is sort of a small field, so he is gonna have to do some reaching out and digging. Based off what he said, is my shipment date might either come a little early or might be delayed further a little bit. Either way, if they sent me during the colder months, It's much better than having to deal with the summer heat and them sand fleas.

  4. I agree. Heat sucks. Good luck with the MOS. If you can, holdout for the one you want.

  5. If I find a place/person, I may send one razor out to be properly honed just so I know how it should feel/shave. After that I would make myself learn. After I tried the practice shaves, I think my interest quickly returned to the back burner when I started looking at honing equipment and strops. Too much information overload and too many opinions. Just haven't made the time to do proper research. The strop I have is a vintage Dubl Duck/PearlDuck and I am not sure if it is considered to be in good or bad shape.
