I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on the Tradere OC. They are beautiful to look at. The finish on the baseplate on mine could be better but then again my perspective of polished is skewed since receiving the mirrors from H&S.

    Wednesday's Shave

    Schick E3
    Personna Blade
    Omega 11126 Boar
    Storybook Soapworks Elysium Shave Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    PAA Agharta Aftershave

I do not reach for this soap or aftershave often, but they actually pair very well (they're both "set" orphans in my collection).

2.5 passes today with the Schick E3 provided a BBS result with no irritation or mishaps. That is now 3 days in a row for irritation free BBS results, which actually means I haven't made any of the "hmmm...I wonder if that new idea may work" mistakes. :)

Ariana & Evans SS & AS - Kaizen
    Jason's TSD 30DC 2019 w/Omega boar
    Hoshi Tombo 8000 Kamisori
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB - Star Jelly

Hadn't used the HT Kamisori in awhile...it was screaming for a chance again. Went a round through the pasted strop progression (14k/50k/100k/200k paste on mounted leather, then a final hanging linen and leather strop for clean up) to achieve the awesome mirror edge. It didn't disappoint. 2.5 smooth passes for a DFS+, just missed a patch on the right jawline. No bloodshed. This blade is light, super nimble with great balance, love using the front square tip for the nostril shadows. Chasing a single stray whisker is no problem. Fabulous A&E Kaizen lather, whipped up by @jtspartan's 30dc handle knotted with an Omega boar. Bowl and face lathering bliss, incredible skin feel from the yogurty A&E goodness. Small dose of the PAA Star Jelly followed by the matching A&E after shave. Great start of the day.

A&E's Kaizen.....complex fresh & fruity aroma, dries down with near zero sillage. Their description: Mandarin, Calabrian Bergamot, Lemon Peel, Neroli, Honeysuckle, Green Apple, Rose, Tobacco Absolute, Haitian Vetiver, Sandalwood, Cedarwood.

Playing around with reflections between the anvil and razor....fun polished mirror finishes. The amber scales actually match the brush handle color as you can see in the reflection....however, even with the slightest off angle of light, show darker when not flat to the camera sensor plane.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!

I was a bit hesitant, Clint. However, the shave was absolutely splendid! I ordered the safety bar version I guess you ordered the open comb so I can’t speak to that, but Blair seem to really like his open comb Tradere shave. My best DE razor was my Colonial Silversmith. That is, until I shaved with my Tradere. Shane apparently replicated the original design as faithfully as he could, end it shows why this razor was so popular when it was released. It has a great weight in hand, which is one of my hot buttons, but even more importantly is that it shaves like a dream!

Great photo, Jim, of this incredible razor. I can’t believe how smoothly and efficiently it shaves. The only safety razor I own that even comes close is the Colonial Silversmith.

    Floris 89~~Rubberset 400/3~~2011 Mühle R41/Wizamet SI
Quite the scuttlebutt revolving around the new/old formulation of Floris 89.
Floris is a well-respected British company with 290 years of history and still residing
in its original building in Jermyn Street.
I have never used any of their products before and today's was the maiden voyage.
I have decided to reserve detailed commentary until I have a few more shaves under my belt.
Suffice it to say, that it bears a resemblance to my vintage Yardley,
    in both scent and
performance, although I can, with a great deal of certainty,
say that the ingredient list would look much different.
You'll notice that "Tallow" is nowhere to be found and I know that the Yardley soap contains tallow.

That's all I am going to say for now.
The Mühle was loaded with the same Wizamet SI and I did notice a very slight bit of tugging,
so after the uneventful shave, I binned the blade.
Almost reached for the Yardley After Shaving Lotion, but at the last second
chose the Santa Maria Novella Nostalgia.
After all, I need to save the Yardley for when I shave with the Yardley soap. ;)

Great shave, Clint; the new Wolfman is gorgeous. But I honestly don’t know if there’s a DE made that will outshave the Tradere in terms of its smoothness and high efficiency. It seems made for a Feather blade!

That’s interesting to hear, soaps and brushes are effortless for me to sell or PIF, but razors are an entirely different story!

Great R41 shave, Maestro! Nasal Barbarian that I am, or maybe it’s a long term, undiagnosed, Asbergian deficit, but I simply do not ken scents. Sure basic barbershop stuff that fades are acceptable like AV and OS, but I just don’t go for strong scents of any kind! Guess that’s why I find Tabac and any strongly scented soap with the exception of anise, unpleasant. Have a great day!
