Since changing the Plate on thus Razor to a No2, the smoothness and quality of Shave attained has surpassed those I got using a No3 plate. My next step is to try it out with other Blades. I am now finding that this Razor works much better for me than the rather neat Occam-Enoch.

The Morning TOST Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #206 2-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Russian ShaDE razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Half Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

SE SOTD, Fri Aug 21st 2020

Razor: Schick golden 500 injector hydro magic- Mfg 1957-64 longest handle(5 3/8") in my razor rotation.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE injector.- Very sharp blade, light touch will give stellar results.
Soap: Razorock Don Marco- very nice citrus scent and it has great lather qualities.
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24mm synthetic- have used this brush since wet shaving creates excellent lather,good scrub,soft tips.
Pre shave: brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser+ a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pickups.
Post shave: Fine fresh Vetiver aftershave with witch Hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS +no irritation + no weepers = great shave with my Schick golden 500 injector razor.

Been awhile since I used this razor. It was a good time to go back to an AC injector style blade to see where my technique is at with these. Since I've learned to not use such a heavy hand when shaving the post shave irritation with this razor was much less pronounced. It is still an aggressive razor and requires you to respect it or it will bite. End result a BBS finish and one of the better performers in my razor stable.

A contrast to yesterdays Shave with The Occam-Hiram as I used the lighter more compact Occams -Enoch. I personally quite like both of them and the way one has to adapt to using them, and I get good Shaves from both of them. Since switching to a plate 2 on the Hiram, I think I get marginally closer Shaves to those I get with the Enoch.

Schick Sunday Shave, Aug 23rd 2020

Razor: Schick Championship injector, L type theme series-Mfg 1976 -Schick helped sponser the Montreal Olympics.
Blade: Personna injector(6) nice and sharp for a smooth mild razor like the L types injectors.
Soap: Proraso green- nice Menthol Eucalyptus scent for a cooling effect on the facial skin.
Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24 mm synthetic- I really enjoy using this brush, creates excellent lather with those soft tips.
Pre-shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pickups.
Post shave: Proraso green aftershave lotion with witch hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm on beard area.
Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Schick championship L theme type injector razor.
