Primo, this has a close similarity to Creed Aventus. I find though that it has a juicy yet semi dark pineapple burst right off the top with some birch and a smokey type nuance. It actually blends very well together. There is some other citrus notes in it but, the pineapple is dominant the moment you pop the lid and right into the lather and the whole shaving experience. Performance is something that I’m really enjoying from both the soap and skin food splash. The soap creates a wonderful full & rich creamy lather with a glide that is second to none. Takes water in spades that helps immensely in giving slickness and residual slickness as well. Creamy and lush yet not heavy at all. The soap rinses cleanly and easily from both face and razor in a snap and I don’t get that feeling that I’ve got something extra on my skin. No oily or dry feeling whatsoever and that is a rarity as I would only need one hand to count the soaps that deliver similar performance and still have a couple fingers left over. Post shave is perhaps one of the best that I’ve experienced to date. I’ve only had about 4-5 uses with it and certainly would need more to get a better idea of it’s benefits on long term usage. So far though it has been a superb acquisition. Ditto for the splash. Good scent strength with a light quench and excellent absorption rate that leaves no sticky feeling or dryness. Just leaves a well hydrated feeling and toned skin that is noticeable from the get go. Not a single complaint, Primo...... :)

Tabac day...soap, The Shave Den Tabac Type after shave and a small splash of cologne. The TSD after shave ingredients are so nice....didnt need one of my usual tonics. I had reknotted the Rubberset brush (24mm Shave Forge boar), cleaned it up with Turtle Wax and filled in the lettering. I like how easy even upper lip shaves are with my textured head E2 ...my favorite upper lip shave is this injector. I have only tried Schick Chromium blades so far, but will probably branch out and try some Ted Pellas next.

Fragrance - Creed Spice & Wood

***EDIT - 2 pass + extensive clean up. Excellent shave. I over-shaved but miraculously (very rare), I didn't get any irritation. I took a risk and it paid off. BBS. Smoooooth. I opted for the Advanced Clinicals face cream instead of PAA serum. I tend to prefer the cheap Advanced Clinicals 'feel'. It's just more 'silky' and really makes a great shave feel more smooth to the touch. Although the PAA serum is still a fantastic skin product that I use a lot because its ingredients are high-end. Anyways, great, 10/10 shave today. Excellence in shaving. Makes the money I invested in sets like this worth it. And although I have bought enough bottles and soaps to last possibly 20 years, I think people likely miss Country Club for Men soaps and splashes. They were on a high quality level. And not the least of the point of this incredible shaving set, the Spice & Wood fragrance is my favorite fragrance, so today's shave is a complete win.

    2020-08-21, Friday

The days are getting shorter. I'd say about three, four feet...
And, in my eyes, it all happened all of a sudden. But maybe I was distracted.

For this hot day I chose a soap with a summery fragrance: the Slåtterøy, which, in the intentions of the manufacturer, awakens memories of when seafarers returned from afar with mysterious gifts (perhaps alluding to drug traffickers...).
Any of you who go around sniffing sailors will know what this is like.

The Maggard, married to the Kai, has not disfigured compared to the Progress thanks also to the slickness of the Fitjar cream.

Nina Simone was in great shape this morning!

If only it was cooler, I'd be almost happy...
