kewl beans.. may have to look into that for next year.

    sorry to hear that..

So far it has been an excellent morning. An hour of swimming, some time in the hot tub, then a hot shower and a great shave. It is so weird being in soft water. But the Williams really rocked in the soft water! :D

Oh well.. time to get ready to go to the parents' house

ummm, so, did you decide what you're going to buy? :happy102

not really. I have just about talked myself out of everything I was considering.:ashamed001

That lathe is kind of calling me, though. At only 45 lbs, I could just set it on the tailgate of my truck when I want to use it...

but, at only 45 lbs, you'd want to secure it to the workspace...

    just sayin'....:D

(but, I'm glad you reminded me, funeral just finished, I need to remember to grab the school lathe when I finish shutting down...)

funeral? school lathe? how do those two end up in the same sentence together? wait... don't answer that.

Seriously, you okay? family member pass? friend? pm me if you need some pastoral support.

I work at a high school, I'm also the auditorium manager, so when a family wants to use the auditorium for a funeral, guess who has to be there?

and while I'm there, I was planning to grab a lathe from the wood shop, but forgotted...:ashamed001

[non pc ignorance] a high school auditorium for a funeral? wouldn't a funeral home or a church make more sense? [/non pc ignorance]

yes, I think so too, but there have been occasions where the expected turnout is too large for the churches in the area.
this group could have easily fit in several churches, so I'm kind peeved about it, but whatcha gonna do?

Leave the doors locked and tell them to use the tennis court? :happy102

Sorry... I've been under the weather and perhaps it's bringing out my evil side. :o

You guys aren't doing a very good job of talking me out of that lathe. It's a toss-up between that, a smart q7 or a set of interchangeable circular needles. Or something else... I'm not sure what else. Any suggestions?

I'm watching the movie "Elf" with Will Farrel and Zoey DeChanel.

Zoey's hot, but I like her better with dark hair.

I have laughed more at the commercials than I have the movie. Seriously, this thing is horribly unfunny. Zoey DeChanel singing in the shower barely redeems this cinematic turd, and I'm not even sure if that's enough.

I am so sick of the manchild trope. I sometimes think these kinds of movies just help to undermine men's self confidence and encourage people to lose respect for their male role models.

    YUP!

Did you catch the episode of bones where she was playing Bone's distant cousin and the running joke was that everyone said they looked like they could be sisters (for those who don't know the actress that plays Bones is Zooey's (yes, it is zooey) sister)

I think its too late for that... Commercials, movies, and tv have done enough man/father trashing over the years that you can't lose respect that is no longer there. Honestly, the idiot father who has no clue about anything about his children stereotype has gotten so overused, that father's day has just become an excuse for more bashing (not like it was ever really a Holiday unlike Mother's Day).

Sorry.... I didn't realize that I brought a soap box along with me when I packed. Oh wait... I do have a Williams soap box with me.

All you need is the Williams Soap Box. i am going to send a e mail to Williams and see how the current formula compares to the original.

Well at work AGAIN.. not much going on other wise.

    How's the y'all?
