Thanks, Charlie! All is well! I’ve been having a ball with straight shaving, although I’m still cautious about the process. I’m so glad to hear of Kathy’s progress! Have a safe and healthy return home! I’ll fill you in after you’ve settled in!

    Proraso SF & AS- Red
    OC Tradere
    Bolzano SuperInox

Very early morning shave. Proraso Shave Foam, really nice after a 15 second can shake. Thick and slick, obviously a little ‘dry’ but works fine, has that awesome Sandalwood Barbershop fragrance. The OC Tradere loaded with a Bolzano, easy efficient shave. I think with some experience, a 1 pass shave and touch ups could get BBS results. Today was still 2 passes with touch ups to a nice BBS. Couple weepers. No big deal. Quick addition of the matching Proraso Red AS and I am out the door.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

ECWS The Shave Mercantile Pass Around
    Boar Month - Shave #22

This is my first shave with any of the Shave Mercantile products. Regarding first impressions, this soap did not disappoint this user. The scent proceeded to live up to its name. It reminded me of a hot summer day when a cold drink of limeade would quench you thirst.

The Jayaruh 329 boar brush did it’s job whipping up a thick, yogurt like lather. A small almond size scoop of soap easily produced a magnificent amount of lather; enough for 4-5 passes.

The shave itself, another three pass, with the Gem Feather produced a near BBS result. The only area that is always a challenge for me to attain a BBS is the jaw-hinge location. The soap has a very nice glissade, allowing the blade to easily pass through the shaving area without any irritation. The alum confirmed this observation by being noticeably silent upon application. Overall, this shave was Super Duper!

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Gem Feather
    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Brush: Jayaruh 329 Boar
    Lather: The Shave Mercantile Limeade
    Aftershave: Stirling Lemon Chill

    Barbero Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    Hello all!
Wanted to share a shave, a little different than normally here in the woods.

    20200822_083245.jpg

It looks alot like yesterday's shave and if you think that, you'd be right.
So right, that I even used the same blade.
That's right! I used a blade for two full shaves.
It was a great first shave to say the least.
The second shave with this blade started out good but by the end was getting "tuggy". Mind you I still have an exalent and smooth shave, just not as comfortable near the end.
First time in a long time I used a blade for two shaves. I guess I could do two shaves with these blades if I ignored the comfy part.
Probably not going to do that again, hate pully, tuggy, ucky shaves.

    All
    Enjoy!

Max Headroom approves of 'one and done' shaving for all Curly fans. Blades begin to dull as soon as you use them, you can change them out without fear of condemnation.

Nice to hear from you Terry.
