    I attribute my shaving habits not only to my own preferences but also to spending time watching this forum.
    You guys are such aficionados of shaving, it's hard to keep up.
    I'm always working on getting the best shave with no blood or irritation.
    I have done that very consistently for about a year now.
    Still practicing my technique on every shave. Some day I'll have it perfected, but for now I just do the best I can.

    Keeping a sharp blade, slick lather, and a steady hand.

    Marvelous shave Maestro! Thanks for the comparison of Ethos and Baum.Be. TBH, I think of the character actor, Bernard Fox who played Dr. Bombay on Bewitched everytime you use Baum.Be. He would have been a great pitchman for the soap. Lol!

    Thank You Joe! Yep, 3rd bottle of Proraso Red in 20 months, guess I’m a fan. One stays in the go bag....

    I have both, can compare a little. There’s a difference between Proraso & Barbasol shave foam to me. Both work nicely for safety razor shaves, but the Proraso SF is thicker out the nozzle when shaken properly, and expands into a nice ‘near lather’, not airy feeling. It’s also noticeably slicker. Obviously there’s that awesome Proraso Red aroma. Price, well it is double, so should live up to that, and it does for me on travel shaves.

    good morning gents,fabulous 2+ pass bbs today,brit flat bottom new with a platinum,first lather with the scratch and dent st.james cream was fabulous,lovely scent,rich and slick,and easily built with the simpson sunspot.capped it off with some twisted thayers and st.james fragrance..similar top notes but the fragrance dries down into a fougere scent..awesome.mother in laws retiement party later today,should be fun..have a fine saturday everyone..

    The sun is finally out in the ATL after several cloudy rainy days. Based on the weather forecast, I am afraid this is only a temporary reprieve in the rain. I went with the Godrej Lime shave cream today. I squeezed some of the cream in the bottom of my shave bowl and added some B&M Terrorade. The Godrej shave cream works really well but it seems to take a lot more product to get good results than some my other creams. Enough about the soap, the real star of this shave is the Blackland Tradere OC. The Tradere razors has always been on my want list but with limited production, the used razors commanded a higher price than I was willing to pay. I am so happy that Shane at Blackland brought the Tradere back. Loading the blade is different since the taps are completed closed in on the top plate. I do find that arrangement to me a nice touch. Nothing like going with a new Feather blade for the maiden voyage. Three passes and minimal touch ups ended with the baby in hand. I caused a couple of weepers which is not too bad. The Tradere OC was surprisingly smooth. You can feel the blade but I never felt like the OC would bite. I will stick with the Tradere OC for the next several days. Based on my first impressions, the Tradere OC is a winner. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
