The 30DC LE brush loaded and loaded the A&E Dirty Ginger with ease. Lately I have been using either Chel or Star Jelly preshave with menthol each time I use this soap. For some unknown reason, I skipped today. The soap lit me up like a cheap cigar. It must have been the ginger in the soap. I had this reaction early on with Dirty Ginger but it seemed to get better with time. Anyway, the reaction through me off my game. I rushed through the shave and ended up with several weepers. I am just glad the shave is over. There is always tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Another very early morning shave. 2 passes, DFS+. No drama. Nice refreshing morning ritual, but no baby chasing. Bolzano blade was tugging, the Proraso shaving foam not quite as slick as Im used to. Probably adopt Terry’s rule of ‘one and done’ for DE blades, as they just don’t seem to hold their sharp smooth edge like freshly stropped straight razor steel I use most of the time.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Well done, Jeff. While I have all that's needed for honing, I simply haven't the urge...

Better luck tomorrow, Clint. When my skin reacts to such a soap, it's "buh-bye".

Since I got zero, nil, nada interest for this soap, I have decided to keep it and see if I can live with it.
    First the good.

    Easy to load.
Easy to create a great lather.
    Reasonable slickness and protection.
    Delicate and attractive scent.
Now the less good. I didn't say "bad", because it doesn't sink nearly to that level.
There's something in the ingredients that very slightly causes a mild tingle towards the end of the shave.
The post-shave starts out pretty great, but in a matter of a couple minutes, my skin develops
a tightening feeling. Not really "dry", per se, but taut.
I took a splash of witch hazel and "rinsed" off all residual soap and
    immediately the tingling sensation disappeared.
The Feather scales look decrepit in this photo. Dried and cracked.
I was baffled, looking at this picture, so I went back to my bathroom
and took a closer look at the razor. Nothing. They are smooth and without fault. Weird.
The Fahrenheit really rocks. Love, love, love this juice.

Wonderful shave for the beautiful Sunday family BBQ. First and foremost, the brisket went in the smoker last evening at 6:00. I was up several times during the overnight to check on the progress. At 3:00 AM, it was in the “Stall” period. At 7:00 AM I wrapped it in pink butcher paper. As of this posting, approximately one hour to go, sitting at 195 degrees.

Needless to say I have been busy all morning. In between I manage a nice shower and wonderful shave. The missus is extremely happy as she loves this scent. A fantastic three pass with no issues.

    Enjoy your Sunday gentlemen.

    Excellent write-up, enjoyable reading.

Congrats on your success. Great work!

Did some reading on jasper stones. In an earlier history slot, I'd have ordered one.

Thanks Jeff....I'd say I'm covered to combat the heat&humidity now, but y'know, I look forward to bringing out the cold-weather ones...probably in late September. You know me, the Yippy-Dippy Weatherman of TSD! :)
