Ahhh I should have known.. so where is the slap your own forehead smiley....

Too bad the weather is so cruddy. If it weren't for the freezing rain and high winds, I would take my daughter to TSO in Indy tomorrow. But I am not driving 6 hours total in ice for a concert. We will just have to wait until next year. (And no, I am not wasting tickets, I have been holding off on purchasing them for this reason)

 

it's a great show, but you definitely have to weigh all the factors. Heck, I'm nervous driving to/in Shreveport in clear, sunny weather....

also, at the concert they mentioned they'll be starting a spring tour this year, so that may be a possibility for you. It won't be the Christmas show, but it's still gonna rock!

 

Sometimes I wonder about Pandora. "Based on what you have told us so far, we're playing this track because it features specific musical qualities." OK... mind telling me what those qualities are?

 

okay, just watched the trailer for the new karate kid movie...I'll pass.
nothing's worse than watching your childhood faves defacto screwed around with like that.
If you're not creative enough to come up with new material, at least when you remake something, completely re-imagine it (transformers, batman, etc.), instead of keeping the same plot/storyline, and trying to update it.

but then, re-makes are a tough sell on me anyway, I'm very much a primacy person (first of anything generally is my preferred), though some things that get a complete reboot are tolerable and even enjoyable.
this looks like a mostly script, but trying to make it more "street", though having it set in china is a nice touch.

 

"...specific musical quantities" might make more sense (but it would still be BS).

 

probably something important, like tempo, or length of track

In other news, I saw an orthopedist who was worried I fractured a small wrist bone, got my hand put in a cast for a few days while a CAT scan was processed. Came back clear. No fractures. Just some injury to the muscles. My wrist will probably be all better in another week or two.

Kent had a deal on facebook on their fan page. The first 5 people to get 10 new people to become fans on the Kent Facebook page and post their name on the wall would get some Kent freebies. Tom should have been one of the first 5 to accomplish this; however, Kent has not confirmed that yet.
