Not yet. Got my finger on the button..but kind of feel I may have spent my limit for the week. Ughhh.. decisions decisions
oh ok,that is a later lc style cap which did come on those.if you find a cheap lc with bent teeth and a clean cap..i built a nice one doing that.i am not one for replates and stuff, but is an option as well..or just use it and polish it..
1940 gold prewar techs have the same cap and the gold plate is more durable, but has to be a prewar ..
the early short combs had square cut corners on the cap with the required cut outs in the plate.later short combs had less of a cutout and used long comb caps. long comb on the right..i will assemble some examples and post them on the "vintage gillette shave" thread..

Very nice. My Friedr is a favorite and a nice kamisori is high on my list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank You! Have always heard great things on the Friedr brand. Have a traditional 'no scale' version of an asymmetric kamisori (it's definitely user grade)....and the same, want a nice one. There's only one or two other vintage straights on the 'want' list...but they have some crazy prices. Maybe one day. The two above were reasonable given their brand & condition IMO. It's also a crazy FWMP...wanted these color scales.
