Day one with the Succès and I wasn't as Succèsful creating that glistening lather I got with yesterday's lavender soap.
The soap, itself is softer than the lavender and loading directly from the jar isn't as easy.

Tomorrow I will try scooping a bit out and smearing it in my Aesop SS bowl.
Over the years I have tried many different "scented" soaps, but whenever I would see someone shave with a pineapple soap,
I would roll my eyes and think to myself, who would ever want to use THAT! Well, the answer is ME!
I am floored by the scent of this product. If you are expecting to get a face full of Dole pineapple juice, you will be disappointed.
This scent is MUCH more complex---but never crosses the line of "too many exotic scents".
I would politely accuse Barrister and Mann of this as well as PAA.
This is a well thought-out blend, which caresses the olfactory sense. Very pleasing, indeed.
The slickness was almost as good as the lavender, but I am going to blame user error.
While I have dialed in the lavender soap, I clearly need to tweak my lathering technique with this one.

Well, I didn't think I'd be using Agadir A.S./TSE* shave soap** so soon, but we have a hiccup of a cool day today, then back to normal warmth. 0:30 to load the soap onto the Stoylin brush, although it's becoming a challenge, as most of the soap is on the sides of the puck now. Did well on the face&sideburns, but a cut developed at Central South Porcupine Alley, during the first pass. That was the only problem, the cut. I felt that the cold rinse of the soap, followed by the administering of the AgadirMen Cooling Tonic would help shove the cut to the side, as they did. Very Excellent. (Yeah, I had the cut, but TSE provides a wonderful shave when done right, as mostly was the case).

Nice pic, gear and I assume a great shave, Joseph! I am not consistent with my lathers. It depends on my mood and razor as to whether I want the very wet or the Courier and Yves lather. As long as the lather does its job by letting the razor glide on my face, then its a good lather for me.

    Good morning guys!

    Straight Shave #198
Dovo Best Quality 5/8 Half Hollow Round Point
    Semogue OC Pure Badger Brush
Stirling Coconut Lime SS and AS

Did a 2.5 pass shave with minor touchups for a BBS - shave. Unfortunately, did nick the top of my left ear, but it was a small one and grateful that I still have an ear. Lol! There wasn't any irritation, but the aftershave gave me quite a burn on my neck. The Coconut Lime scent is nice, but it isn't a strong scent. Overall, it was a nice shave this morning. Hope you have a great day guys! 20200827_082726.jpg

Nice shave Paul! The weather is somewhat sunny on Long Island. We are supposed to get some rain, but it is not going to be cool one.

Asylum Shave Works SS & AS - Old Virginia
    Jason's 2019 30dc w/Omega 10098 boar
Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus w/Green Kirinite
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements ASB - Star Jelly

Incredible fun shave with the ASW software from a(nother) @Primotenore inspired purchase. @jtspartan's brush handle a joy to hold & beat up a lather, an Omega boar knot that's easily my favorite. Face lathering or spreading, this knot completely covers a cheek when even slightly splayed. The ASW shave soap (made by Wet Shaving Products) is a fantastic tobacco & leather aroma, with a hint of vanilla to my nose, slick and thick. 'Frigga' performed nicely, but probably needs a visit to the pasted strops. Slightly less efficient than I like. Still carved out a BBS-, mainly a couple minor weepers to stop perfection buffing on the chin. Quick face rub of a light dose of PAA's Star Jelly, followed with a hefty dose of the ASW 'crazy good aftershave' and I'm off and running for a Thursday. Old Virginia wifey approved regardless of the dosing....

Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday!

Love the green and shiny Jim! Very cool Stirling setup. Good longevity on the Lime?

    Great acquisition Myles!

For the other brush...or just in general. See if there's any of this around the house....or maybe get some. I've seen it recommended many times for cleaning vintage gear without any damage, and my experience has been the same on several razors (vintage or not). To avoid fine scratches, I always start with this and finger 'scrubbing' on surfaces I can touch, an old boar brush (thoroughly rinsed and damp with the Scrubbing Bubbles) on areas I can't, i.e. the nooks and crannies.

Thanks for the info, I might try that. Its a plastic handle so I think the damage is done, but might as well give it a try though. Enjoy your day! :)
