Razor: Gillette Reg Flare tip SS- Mfg1956 B2, Mild razor tto, mates well with the Kai SS blade IMO.
Blade: KAI SS (12) excellent blade, sharp & smooth, excellent longevity(still testing), great for mild razors! Extra wide (.009" Thousands Of a inch) for greater blade feel.
Soap: Razorock Lavender
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24 mm - Excellent brush for creating lather from any type of soap, soft tips for painting lather.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse of cold water after each pass of 3 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis lavender with witch hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Great shave with my Gillette flare tip reg with a KAI SS blade.

i have used it once so far,tomorrow will be twice.i am careful with it,but it and the vc4 are nice shavers.glad i got them for alternate shaves..very iconic..thankfully mine are in mint shape,would hate that lever to be weak/loose locking..

 

wow the thin handle looks fantastic,did he fly them to you directly?..that was quick shipping..do you like how it shaves..my favorite tech head..

 

Thanks Gary. This is not the set from Andy. Ii's from Texas. But one can't have too many flat bottom techs. At least I hope not. I'll let you know how it shaves tomorrow.

 

Not my usual style. In fact it has taken this D1 TV Special months to get this first chance at my stubble. Put in a fresh Feather and... exceeded expectations! Very, very close. I was so pleased that I moved the Feather to my seldom seen Slim. I think I have enough Gillette TTOs hiding in nooks and crannies to use up the Feather. Watch this space.

I blame @PLANofMAN for waking up my DE TTO interest. He showed me some very pretty ones.
