Razor: Gillette Reg Flare tip SS- Mfg1956 B2, Mild razor tto, mates well with the Kai SS blade IMO.
Blade: KAI SS (12) excellent blade, sharp & smooth, excellent longevity(still testing), great for mild razors! Extra wide (.009" Thousands Of a inch) for greater blade feel.
Soap: Razorock Lavender
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24 mm - Excellent brush for creating lather from any type of soap, soft tips for painting lather.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse of cold water after each pass of 3 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis lavender with witch hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Great shave with my Gillette flare tip reg with a KAI SS blade.

Condensed review:

So my take on this razor isn’t a 0-100, as I own a few A1s already. The knurling is different but it goes unnoticed. Something I did notice is while it’s just as aggressive as any other A1 I’ve used (2 pass BBS), something about this particular version seemed to bring the aggression a little more subtly. Placebo affect? Probably. Nonetheless I’m still quite thrilled to finally own this version of the A1. A spot on shaving experience everytime.

It was a short trip from the mailbox to the sink and the Torqued has made it’s debut here. A fine, close, smooth shave. No drama with two days of stubble. It was very easy to find the angle, intuitive and forgiving. If I went too high on the angle it let me know but didn’t bite. What can I say? I like it, I like it a lot If I were going to change anything it would be to add a little heft to it. A little more weight would be nice on the downstrokes. Awesome job, Tom
