    Another rainy cloudy dreary morning here in the ATL. I am just about ready for a break from the rain. Went with the Elite Razors Desert Ironwood Beehive and the Godrej lime shave cream this morning. Three passes and touch ups just about had the baby so I went for a 4th buffing pass on my lower right neck. Ended up with a drama free BBS shave. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

    The TGN knot is a great face lathering machine. Overloaded with ZM’s tallow based barbershop fragrance, just slick and yogurty goodness, lots of residual glissade for buffing or touch ups. 2.5 passes, BBS results with no irritation or issues from the Drew Dick straight. Couple squirts of ZM’s after shave balm (thin & creamy), followed with PAA’s ‘Italian’ themed barbershop fragrance Gondolier. Gondolier is a very fun fragrance, barbershoppy, somewhat similar to Stirling’s example, mixed with a slightly Proraso Red note to my nose.

    Good Saturday morning shave. When my Puma arrived, it had been stored unused for years. After resetting the bevel and removing the surface rust stains which polished off easily with my Dremel and some jeweler’s rouge, I’ve enjoyed my shaves. This morning when working under my right jawline, a very slight tremor resulted in a very slight slice, which oozed a bit but closed right up after a quick alum treatment. The shave continued with the expected result, VBBS. Every now and then the shave gods remind us of their presence. Still a great shave with a buttery smooth edge. The dome shave went beautifully with my Cooper Monobilt - one and a half pass VBBS. The Monobilt is an excellent safety razor that always delivers the goods. I feel cool, clean and velveteen!

    RAZOR: Puma 5/8 (Mug), Cooper Monobilt (Dome)
    BLADE: Astra DE
    PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Rabid Banana Preshave Cube
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
    POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub. Finished with A&E Post-Shave Serum and Chatillon Lux Lavender Toner.

    Man-up a little Charlie, I can't believe that a Kentuckiskian that had a flamed Datsun pick up with ventilated floor boards wouldn't use one of these with their MWF.

    thank you Charlie .i am most grateful..my son is moving up north in a week or 2 so i won't get to much of him from here on in,and my daughter is in college..up north as well.i would like to see them more often.i have the Mike's orange,cedar and black pepper .nice soap but i rarely use it.i should use it more.glad you are both well .stay safe..
