  2. woohoo!!! I now have polls, and rate-able posts and comments on my blog. So go rate stuff as high as you dare! I just wish you could rate the posts from the front page... alas, you have to click on the post to get to the rating area. :(
  3. cool dealio, billio

hey Micah, a scant 600 more posts will get you on the first page of highest post count :D
  4. I'd buy a thing of your thing, but I am broke until someone buys some of my things. :sad024
  5. as opposed to what? word down?
  6. Now there's an OCC opportunity! Or, maybe you could trade things? :signs002

Just done with lunch. :eatdrink020 Enchiladas, beans and rice, chips and queso. Yum!

On a different note, I just opened a package with the best smelling new brush I've ever encountered! Also got my first Alum Block (444) in the same package. Woooooo Hoooooo! :happy093

Now, of course, my pockets are empty when it comes to any kind of a new stuff budget. :sad027 Must be time to sell some old things!

    UGGGHH!!!
does the AD train never end?!?!?! :D
I just wish I knew what to look for. did see a couple of Easterbrooks, but none with caps.
one store did have a complete old-school caligraphy set, with roll-up leather pouch for the pens. he had only recently gotten it, and didn't have a price on it, but I don't know enough yet to know what they would have been worth.
  9. I prefer the open source alternative, OpenOffice Write up.

  11. Kewl Beans, Jim. It's always good to have one more thing to look for in the antique stores. The best way to get hooked is to see a whole bunch of old pens, however I managed to start the same way you're starting - by rummaging through antique malls. If you wonder what to pay for something, don't hesitate to ask. FWIW, an Esterbrook in an antique shop is probably worth no more than ten bucks or so, unless it's something special. Take a look at http://esterbrook.net/ for the best online resource I know for these pens.
  12. Yeah, in a little side blurb on the news this evening they said he was the third (?) guard to go missing in the last year from that facility. One of them was found shot to death just outside of atlanta with daughter of one of the janitors from the school we used to work at, I think.

    Sad all around.
  13. yeup, that's right. I vaguely remember something about the third one, actually, I think that person was the first one, but yeah, the ones found shot that was the daughter of the head janitor at the HS.
  14. Squirrels! I thought it was a groundhog infestation. :happy097

So......squirrels? Does it have anything to do with our newest mod then?
  15. new mod???
  16. Well then. If you're going to leave us in the dark, I guess I'll leave you there, too. :p

At least everyone in our darkness keeps their pants on. :p :p
