2020-08-31, Monday The coolness has arrived! But I didn't feel inspired and instead of shaving I removed my beard. What is the difference? The pleasure of it... So I aimed only at efficiency without getting involved in olfactory lucubrations. I'm shaved: stop! Actually, all the gears I use are efficient, but this morning I was missing what is necessary to convert a mechanical act into an emotional experience... The soap is really good, the scent is not invasive: I read that it is smoked cedar wood, bergamot and amber. It goes without saying that I did not recognize even one of these scents. But I discovered that Ginger now also makes soaps with tallow and scents that could be captivating. To be sure, I should understand the mixtures of essential oils, which I cannot. The brush, despite the small knot, works really well: thanks to the bristles, I suppose... Menthol Monday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Ingram Shave Cream Jayaruh #313 TNNSER Personna GEM SS PTFE Osage Rub SEptember starts tomorrow, and I wanted to get a jump on it with my TNNSER. I will be using a different SE razor for each day during SEptember. The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #313 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNNSER razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Date:- 31 August 2020 Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice Brush:- Maseto 'Avatar' Tuxedo Synth. 26/54mm knot Soap/Cream:- Noble Otter ~ Rawr Razor/Blade:- Merkur 34C / Voskhod #9 Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20 drops) & Tea Tree Antiseptic (5) / The Stray Whisker Aftershave Balm (Australian made) A wonderful scent of Noble Otter 'Rawr' great for Spring and maybe Summer season, depending on the strength of the Musk during Summer. I can smell straight from the tub which is Bergamot, Sweet Orange, Vanilla and Musk, I cannot smell Neroli, Dandelions and Atlas Cedarwood (or Sandalwoods), because, the Bergamot, Sweet Orange and Musk sought of kicking in a bit more during lathering throughout my shaves. I can smell a very soft Vanilla and Cedarwood (kinda like Sandalwoods to my nose), otherwise, a great scent during Spring season.

Finished with Krampert’s Frostbite AS Splash.
