  2. This is starting to look like a "Mennen Monday". :) On a side note, I started getting consistently better shaves when I accepted the fact that my neck would never be absolutely stubble-free.

  3. With a positive examination of your pictured vittles, one might see that you have a balanced selection of starches, protein, fiber, carbs and vitamins/minerals... :happy088:

With proper home cooked vittles, it may be a challenge to keep those freshly shed lbs from returning though. :rolleyes005:

  7. In recent weeks, I seemed to have found the Goldilocks happy medium regarding my neck shaves. Today was just a one off. My days of three full passes in every direction plus a full clean up neck pass are gone forever. I no longer aim for the deep sub dermal shave results.

  8. August 31st

    Razor: Gillette Toggle
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Steel (3)
Brush: Simpson X3 "Commodore" Best Badger
    SS and AS: Orange Chill

I decided to close out the month with one of my more prized razors. It was a quick 2 pass shave this morning. I'll call it DFS. Great shave, but I just didn't put the time and care into it to get the BBS we all desire.

  11. It is still a great shave Andrew! The Omega 49 is one of my better brushes. For an inexpensive brush, it does the job better than some expensive brushes.

  13. I trust you will have a safe and successful last year in the classroom, Joe. My wife is a Middle School teacher and she is in the building prepping this week. In BC, the traditional start to the school year is the week after Labour Day so her and the kids will be in class next week.

  14. Thank you, Joe! The Omega 49 is a great face lathering brush for sure. And you're right about the value.

  17. Thanks Andrew! Since my gym opened last week, this has been my eighth visit. I took off yesterday and I went 2x on the same last week. Today, I just did my shoulders and 1 machine for my back and another for my chest. I started late so I cut it short so that I can have lunch at a semi-decent hour. I have a men's meeting this evening so I will have a light dinner before I go. Although the workout was short and not too strenuous, it was a quality session.

I prefer the Katana "original" shape, actually from the Colonial Razors The General V2 first release.
But I do not like the weight, so I think I'll stick with this.
    :p
The slate is large and heavy, so the Halo handle just stop it.
Very easy to balance, with a good scenographic effect.
