Wife says it has something to do with breast cancer awareness. Don't know how... but there it is...

I'm glad Bama is rolling over Texas, but I hate that it's with the "*".

*Starting QB Colt McCoy out with injury.

yes it does, though I've no idea how that helps anything at all. no money is gained from posting, no research is done from posting, seems more like a big chain letter to me

oh, and what a great game!
some ugly parts, some beautiful parts, some meh parts, and some phenomenal parts.
    overall, great game.
Texas has a bright future in that young QB, and he gained some invaluable experience tonight.
I hated rooting against Texas, but my first allegiance is with the Crimson Tide!!!

    ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

hated to see McCoy go out, but that's a risk with the game.
That was almost the worst thing for Bama though, allowing them to get complacent and play too conservative. But they snapped back nicely.
Great teams, great game, congrats to both!

I went to bed early in the fourth quarter... It looked like Texas was going to at least make a game of it, but really I knew that once Colt went out, so did the Horns win.

Desmond Howard said it best before the game began. If the Tide defense can contain Colt McCoy, Bama would win the game. And they did that. And they won. Pretty easy to contain a fellar when he's on the sidelines after a 3000 pound monster smacks his throwing arm into next year. Clean hit though. What a freaky thing.

    Have a great day, all.

Doug I went to bed in 4th quarter as well. And I am so dragging this morning. 4AM came way to soon. If only I had known that I would end up having school cancelled today. Oh well. so now I am all ready to go, and don't need to.

Okay, I could get on the whole "If Colt had been able to play..." trip, but I won't. I'm sick that he got hurt... especially so early in the game because it looked like UT was coming on strong and was gonna play the game they should have been playing all year.

I couldn't believe that Davis actually called a few running plays! Imagine that...

I felt bad for that freshman boy out there struggling, especially when the few good passes he did get out landed in the hands of a bunch of fumblefingers. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

But you know, the Horns didn't do too bad considering that was pretty much the QB's first game. I'm starting to understand why they call Greg Davis an Offensive Coordinator. He offends me. Texas almost deserved to struggle like that because they had ample opportunity in the early half of the season to let the freshman get some experience, and they frittered it away trying to get Colt the Heisman, and in the end, it bit them in the ___.

Oh well, it was still a good game and Texas gave it the ol' college try... we'll see how they look next year.

Micah... its hard to believe that 6 months ago you wouldn't have understand what you just posted. Good to have you with us.

I didn't really care who won the game. I just wanted a good game.

And yes, it was hard seeing the freshman out there. I was pulling for him and was aggravated that the receivers weren't helping him a bit with their constantly dropping good passes, butter fingering the ball, or just giving up on routes early... But he showed a lot of promise for the future.

I suppose I should give a shout out to NCAA Football '06 for the PS2 on that one, as well as the help of a few friends.

I think Texas could have a good program next year... there's enough solid players that haven't had much opportunity to shine in the shadow of "McShipley." And you're right, Gilbert showed a lot of promise out there. He is definitely a different style player than McCoy and that's what Texas needs... the formula they had going this year was barely working for them when they got into some tight spots. They should have done better all season.
