If you are getting cuts when you are landing the blade, then I suggest to place the razor completely flat and slowly tilt the razor to find the angle. Do this everytime you clean the blade before you shave again. Also, don't have the angle of the blade to wide or you will be scraping your face and again very little to no pressure. Just let the blade do the job.

i am not buying soaps for a while as i am clearing stuff out.but an odd razor upgrade won't be ruled out..

Dang, I was planning to use my CT... or maybe not.

The CNC mill story starts with a great story of me telling my neighbor I was expecting a package ( padded envelope ) while I was out of town and a freight company delivering a 400 lbs pallet a week early... That neighbor had them drop the pallet in his garage. He was a good neighbor but said something about me understating how much effort would be involved in accepting my delivery.

I had to disassemble the mill and move it to my house in 3 trips.

I used a cheap synthetic brush at my son’s recommendation to spread it evenly over my mug! It did a much better job than using my fingers would have! So even though it didn’t lather, it was thick like a cold cream and did spread evenly that way! Worked well!

Sorry, for the rough experience, and while I don’t have 200 shavette shaves under my belt like our @Trigger, I can say that the key is to focus on a steep angle, with a Feather DX it’s about 14 degrees or one spine width on a straight and extreme lightness of touch. That’s what’s worked for me! Also skin stretching is key!
