Glad the trip went well! Back when I was a youngster I used to ride a 750cc BSA Rocket 3. I remember my honeymoon in May of ‘71 with my wife on that bike. We rode from Philly to Quebec City. On the way back SWMBO #1 whispered in my ear that it was time to switch to 4 wheeled transport! Ah well, all in all it was worth it!!

I've often observed lower cost sharpening methods snubbed. They shouldn't be.

I haven't given up on my gelled Shoate boar yet. It has gotten better with each use.

I have used it a number of times and remarked on it in this thread. The soap is from a Ukrainian company named Elly's Wonder Shop. The soap has a mild floral scent, but I can't give you any specifics on the "flower" because it isn't listed in her ingredients.

    BAUME.BE shaving cream
Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic - Royal Pearl
    Rigarazor
    Alum
    Zingari Man after shave balm
Jimmy Choo - Man Intense EdT

Date Day! Rare weekend off day for me, wifey and I going out and about for the day.

Awesome bowl and face lathering from BAUME.BE and Simpson Chubby synthetic. Very little shaving cream needed to create a TON of yogurty good face feeling slickness (this cream needs only a bit of hydration). Touched up the Rigarazor last night on the pasted strops (14k/50k/100k/200k)....about 10 minutes time. Few strokes on Tony Miller's 'Notavan' strop after the shower this morning, and it was a very nice, smooth but insanely sharp shave. Unnoticed facial blemish......gone. One other weeper, neither a quick rub of the alum couldn't handle. BBS results in 2.5 passes. Quick application of ZM's unscented ASB, few squirts of a new EdT from wifey (for the anniversary last week).

Jimmy Choo's Man Intense - sublime fragrance. A contender for the top spot in my den. Lavender. Citrus. Awesome.

Fragrantica doesn't allow copy/paste, so here's an image:

Had to so a gold shave with my analyzed gold brush. For now at least it looks like I have figured out the anodizing issues. The old dyes would fade so I had to go DARK. These stayed the exacr color they were when I removed tbem from the dye. So If I do anything else in gold I won't leave it in the dye as long.

I really like my VAS. I get excellent results with it. 2 pass plus light touchup and I.have a BBS face. And with the stetson I smell like an 80's city cowboy. Awesome!

Thankfully, I haven't lived there in over 30 years.

I recall as a young man in industrial sales regularly doing business in areas I dare not go today.

Young folks used to be able get manufacturing jobs walking distance from home. Almost unheard of today.

A former employer recently relocated to a low cost enterprise zone there. Long term employees are rapidly exiting. You couldn't get me back in that same job today.

So Bawldamrr remains a great place to be.............. FROM!

I live walking distance from thriving young Amish families now.
