It's going good, we are online still, but grades are looking good.

Thanks Andrew! This razor really went beyond my expectations. Every time I use it, she sings a sweet melody.

That's great! I know it's your last year, but don't get senioritis until June.

A relative quick, but very nice, 2 pass shave earlier this morning. The aluminum V2 razor is very light, but is a solid shaver. One thing- the screw in knob on the end is gone. I have no idea where it went, as I don't recall ever taking it off. I'd like to blame my kids, but who knows. It did make a light handle even lighter.
I really enjoy the Autumn Glory. I usually wouldn't describe damp & earthy as a go to scent, but it just works. The lather this morning was outstanding. The 30mm SynBad is one of my favourite synthetic knots, no question.
    Have a great day all!

Awesome shave, Joe. Do you buy the PermaSharp 1/2 blades, or do you just snap a regular blade in half? I agree on the PAA splashes. Billed as a cologne/AS and that is probably accurate.

How are you enjoying the 3 dot plate, Clint? It reminded me of the PAL Injectomatic for aggression, but I suspect if I'd gotten it dialed in better it wouldn't be an overly aggressive shaver.
I agree on the ease of lathering the TOBS creams, but for some reason I find too much commonality between some of them. First world problems.

That is a very interesting looking frankenrazor, Pierpaolo. That Yaqi head looks like a nice shaver with a sizeable blade gap. Is it an aggressive razor?

Very nice Tech, Gary. Such a simple, effective shaver. That Gold model seems to be in particularly good shape as well. Congrats on getting some vintage mentholated Williams, I don't recall you getting that.

    Yes It is.
This is a SCHaDE, first of its family.
Cobbled head into DE is well known as an aggressive, but comfortable geometry.
The audio feedback is very loud, and the blade edge has a clearly positive exposure with a significant reveal.
But the behaviour is very predictable, so with a good technique is easy to use as a daily driver.

That is a very good pic for showing the excellent fit on that Enoch, Jim. Sorry about the irritation. I don't enjoy using Alum, but I can see why folks want that feedback.

Probably so, Joe. I'm going to use it again tomorrow for Throwback Thursday-but with less cream to continue the experiment.

Thank you, Andrew...and then after the shave, I get the news that my "Doc" Squatch will arrive TODAY, not next week(as reported earlier). Then to P.T., then the gym,. Keep rollin' right, mama!

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements SS CK-6, ASB Star Jelly, AS&C - Supreme Sandalwood Science
Jason's BRM (blue resin maple) w/TGN 28mm Silver tip
    Osiris Razors w/buckeye burl scales

Nothing like a honkin' big blade, jamming tunes, awesome brush and software to get the day moving! PAA's CK6 formula, damp brush absolutely overloaded with soap, creates a very sticky mix in the container. Moved to the shave bowl, 2 teaspoons of water, and creamy thick slick bliss created for shaving. The Osiris went a few rounds of linen and leather stropping this morning right after the shower.....smooth but oh so sharp edge for 2.5 passes, BBS- results. Saw some crimson in the shaving cream on the blade, barely found a weeper on the side of the mouth (looked to be an emerging skin blemish). This blade could easily be called a lather catcher like it's century (?) old SE brethren....I can shave a whole side of my face and no lather escapes it's near half hollow shape. I usually divide the rinses with this blade into quarters face passes though. Love the square tip on this razor....so easy to get into the nose corner shadows. Only drawback....glasses. They get in the way. No biggies, can't distract from the fun of using this monster blade. Couple squirts of the slightly mentholated PAA Star Jelly, followed with the Supreme Sandalwood Science after shave & cologne. If you are a sandalwood fan...this is a great one in my opinion. Tons of Sandalwood goodness, but a balance with a hint of sweet like ToBS' Sandalwood, but not quite the nostril filling sawdust sawmill version from Wet Shaving Products.

Hope everyone has a simply awesome Hump Day!

Very nice B&W, Blair. Quite stunning. That blade seems to be very well designed for sure. Excellent description of the scent as well.

thank you Jason.the 1940 u.s gold prewar is a one year only upscale model in the tweed case and the only gold prewar made as far as i know.the rest were post war design.fine shaver.i had finally scored a cheap puck of williams a while back.under $10 if i remember correctly.most are $20 up..way different that the modern..worth searching one out if you have a chance.it's what gave williams a great rep in it's day..:)
