    Thanks, Charlie! It’s definitely time to unload some safety razors! Unfortunately, the Gillette Adjustables that I’m not too fond of belonged to my father and his brother! Yeesh! I’ll just have to to do what needs to be done. If I go by frequency of use, 3/4of the accumulation can go. We’ll see.

    @jgreenepa

    Posted this grip in one of my daily shaves using the AC DX. Maybe it will be helpful.

    Had to wait until 2 PM when the razor arrived. This razor can be mean if you don't control it. A good razor for a focus.

    I did get bbs but the alum was watm. I'll need to back off of the remaining 6 days are going to be a problem.

    Thanks, Joe! As it turns out it's a lot bigger than it looks. It is currently the largest razor I own. I can't wait to shave with it. I checked out the edge under the microscope and it looks practically pristine. I'll just give it a couple of strops on the .25 micron pasted strop and see how it looks afterwards. I am committed to this focus. So I won't be shaving with it for at least six days.

    Evan:
    What blade are you using with it? I would recommend a regular Feather AC or Schick Proline to avoid irritation issues. The OC version, I have the SB version is much more blade forward.

    Congrats on the new razor, Evan! I have the Hawk V3 OC too. I got to where I got irritation free results from it but the shaves themselves weren't very enjoyable. It'll get a run this month and another in OCtober.

    One of my all time favorite scents. Every time I use it I think of my paternal grandfather. Following a three pass shave with the assist from the badger brush , I am off to help a friend put up some sheetrock on her ceiling. My shoulder is going to love this. At least I will smell good for part of the day. Enjoy you Saturday.
