Very nice Blair! How much smaller is your travel strop compared to your at home strop(s).

Yes, my example from Rigarazor is a French Point. Thanks for the compliments! Hope my comments help, I’m not a structured shaver with grips or other straight razor use methodology. It’s results at the finish that matter. One razor I might grip the spine at the back, another use the traditional hold, and another grip the spine in the middle. Whatever works.

Hi Joe...go to AgadirInt., click on Shop Products, then scroll to AgadirMen. They updated their website a bit so I had to figure out where AgadirMen was. Good luck!! They have stuff for the ladies, too.

Overall a nice shave with your Nancy Boy leading the charge. Part of the challenge with this hobby of wet shaving is dealing with the challenges from the variety of tools at our disposal. Eventually we all figure it out. I am sure you will with the Paul Revere.

Well, you didn't take too long getting to velveteen status with your Feather DX. :happy088:
I think you could be right about the handle of the Revere Schick. It does seem like it could affect your familiarity with getting to the best angle. Nice shave overall, Jeff!

Your welcome Joe...I'll reorder my aftershave when it's done, and might make a play for the Bodywash at some time(course that will last me forever, as I'd only use it to match up with the aftershave).

Thanks Andrew! I’ll get dimensions and an image next day or so. Already packed, and I’m out in the middle of nowhere for the day, home almost midnight tonight. I’m guessing....maybe 2 inches by 15 inches? It was included with a Kamisori from ShaveSmith. Packaging and extras were over the top from that artisan.

I called an audible for this morning's shave, as it was real chilly in my apartment-don't know why. Anyway I went with Jeeves Bay Rum soap and Stephan Bay Rum A.S. Also a different shave prep-the Suave 4 Men. I stayed with the Stoylin brush. It's so good to be able to focus on cranking out more soap than I'd used before. My brushes are now getting close to resembling ice-cream cones :). Hear that @BaylorGator and @wristwatchb ? I felt like I was headed for the top-notch grade, as things were going real well. One of my best shaves since joining, UNTIL...a slight Knick at about the same place as yesterday's-N.W. Porcupine Alley. All else felt good, but I had to be honest, as I missed a section of Cactus Alley. I'd like to make some progress with serious reduction of this soap this winter. Doc Jeeves really pounds his soap into the jar(as does Lee at Wet Shaving Products...and how many times have I talked about Lee doing that...1...5.....500? Right, 500.). I think I can last another cold weather season with the Stephan. Good stuff. Since the Knick was quite harmless, I'll say Super Duper Excellent in a shootout over Most Excellent.

Back to the SE routine for SEptember.

I had this small amount of soap remaining in my bowl after yesterday's shave:
    IMG_5423.jpeg
That is not much soap at all!
I decided to give it a go and see what would happen...
With the Rubberset soaked, semi wrung-out and locked and loaded, I went at this minuscule remnant.
Adding zero extra H2O, I ended up with this:
Now, Primo's thinking to himself, even though this soap has a nice shine, it is lacking the density I require.
But, I resisted the urge to add more soap, so to the face I went.
    Well, it's covering
    pretty good, I thought.
But will it provide enough cushion...?
Day two of the Feather blade and the edge is still keen and smooth.
    First pass...not bad.
    Re-lather, second pass...niiiiice.
Plentissimo of lather for a third and final pass.
So, it just goes to prove, you don't always need a lot of soap for the shave.

    That ain't gonna happen.

I've learned how small soap can "grow" easily with proper brush application.

;)Yes that cheap knot is not the one I plan to set in this handle. It's all I had on hand for the photo. I'll be ordering a high density high mountain white knot soon. The 18ct solution I used isn't that great either and I'm wondering if I should use a 24ct solution formulated for high wear jewelry. That solution is literally 2.5x the price but the plate is durable in a high wear application.

Your suggestion that I sell these to high end stores for a niche market is flattering. :) I would have to invest a lot to produce these in volume. I do this for the thrill of learning a new skill and creating something unique. Perhaps someday I will change my mind. For now, serving the few people I socialize with here is good enough.

I am thankful for the kind words and encouragement. It certainly is part of the fun!
