Second outing with this previously NOS John & Wm Ragg. First outing it was actually too sharp for me which is saying a lot. This time I adjusted my technique and it settled down noticeably with a flatter angle. Still got a couple of weepers (and it doesn’t hesitate to bite loose skin) but a wonderful result On a side note: This brush and cream combo is my favorite. I’ve never mentioned how much I like the Savile Row brush. I have some very high quality brushes but this one is noticeably above the rest. And I never tire of the Castle Forbes Lavender. I'm going to be using my second favourite SR tonight, my Boker 6/8 extra hollow square point once I give it a little TLC on the ol' strop here and more importantly once the house is quiet and the Queen and Princess of the castle are asleep.

Albert Stille Stockholm 5/8, an eBay find for $26 US. Albert Stille is a surgical instrument company founded in 1841, and is in business today. Lovely ivory scales and it has found a loving new home. Undoubtedly made by one of the big Eskilstuna makers, I’m working on an ID. Cream and AS were AdP Colonia, lathered with an almost-matching M&F L7 Blonde Badger.

Great kit, Karl! Castle Forbes Lime used to be one of my favorites until I discovered Nancy Boy Signature Shaving Cream! One of the best kept secrets in wet shaving. Eric Roos, the owner, has built an incredible business since 2002 without any formal marketing other than word of mouth. Mantic59 acknowledged it as "one of, if not the best" premium shave creams out there. Glad you got the razor sorted. Sounds like a terrific shave.
Pretty sure this is a Japanese blade, but googling “Top” or “Best” shockingly doesn’t narrow it down. Did find one though and the seller backed me up in my assessment. Top Best Steel 333 “Best Steel”... “Best Hollow Ground”... they liked their razor, and I agree. Enjoy your shave. Tom
