Thanks Blair. I wish Mr. Becker was still in business, but I believe he has retired. I did a quick check on eBay yesterday and didn't see anything. I had several of the brush scuttles in different colors, but I passed them on to new guys getting started. I should have held one back for the day when I break this one.

Good morning, Paul, and great job on improving your soap loading. Did you remember to check your face for missed spots before your final rinse and cleanup? It took awhile for this to become automatic for me.

Have a great workout, and enjoy your day.

Mystic Water Lilac~~Mondial 26mm~~Feather AC/Feather Professional Super~~Ed. Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
This is my second tub of Lilac from Mystic Water.
For those that are interested, my only repeat purchase of my favorite lilac shave soap.
For the life of me, I cannot understand anyone having issues lather this product.
    It's really a snap.

The Feather AC is so simple and
intuitive to use, I just had to use it again today.
It's slightly more tricky navigating my beard area, because of the Van Dyke and longer Burns.
However, I was successful and what a glorious result.
MW soap is as slick as it gets and probably offers the best post-shave in the industry.
I have the utmost respect for this company. They don't constantly change their formula
    and their scents are sophisticated.
    Price point is exceptional.
Finished with the Veg and what a terrific finish it was.

That must be one of the most famous cartoons around. I first saw it at work back in the 80's. If the Twerp lives by that truth, he has probably fared pretty well in life.

I saw a good one the other day: I thought I could, so I did.

Over the summer, I often quoted this to my Bride. I did it to keep things light (see what I did there?), and it was usually met with a comment or an eye roll. It's true, though, and it was helpful for me anyway.

It was, but it was the only solution that didn’t violate the G7DC rules. :)

I passed my road test this morning. wasn't too bad except the parallel parking, the hood of my vehicle is pretty big so once I got close to the cones I pretty much lost all sight of the cone, but I still managed to pass the parallel parking, really had to guess the way I pulled in.

    Rigarazor 8/8

3rd day into the G7DC. Enjoyed a shave in my own 'den this morning. Yay! Super bowl overflowing, face slinging lather created with the ES knot and PAA's CK-6 formula. Full sized linen and leather strop session for the Rigarazor before shaving. 2.5 passes, great results, even on the problematic right jawline & neck area (after some focused XTG buffing). Barely a chin weeper today, which I attribute directly to being fully awake, but also from a fresh 16 ounces of our household caffeine infusion sitting nearby. Followed with PAA's Star Jelly, then the matching after shave & cologne. Wifey super favorite fragrance, catch whiffs of it for hours on end (which is probably from overuse!).

Also in the image is my Shavesmith 'travel' strop used over the weekend. It was included with a custom kamisori purchase. Measures 18" by 2". Christopher is a blade forger/smith based in Denver area. Awesome work, impeccable packaging/presentation (the kamisori was wall art display worthy, wired/mounted onto a small piece of wood, with wood branded signature & logo), as well as the strop, hand written instructions, thank you card, tidy wrappings, etc.

Hope everyone has a Magnificent Monday!

I'm going to start calling this challenge Gary's Oppression (GO7) :) I walk past my ready rack full of the SE razors I set asside for this month and they call out to me. "Why don't you love us, Evan?", they say. "This is our month and the new guy gets 7 days of it. How is that fair?" But I made a commitment and I'm sticking to it.

The SS Hawk OC is a fabulous tool. Paired with a AC Pro, an expert could easily get a BBS shave in 2 passes. Well, I'm not quite an expert but I got a BBS shave... plus some red lubricant. 2 small weepers and some warm alum is all that separated this shave from perfection. The weepers showed up in my first pass too. I just wasn't being careful, yet. I guess that's why we stick with it. I'm getting better results each day. I really believe the reason I get such good results with my VAS is because I used it for most of May. There's something to be said for not switching things up every day.

@MrEE - I am looking at what a LE run of anodized aluminum would take. I don't want to tread on Jason's territory so they wouldn't be called 30DC LE brushes. I'll come up with my own name.

If I did a run of handles with a LE engraving and let people pick 1 of 6 colors. Would people be willing to cover costs? I'm just gauging interest right now. Obviously I would work up a prototype and have a price before moving forward.

    I would be interested.

Thank you Andrew. I find that the Treet blade does give a nice shave. I know that with my Merkur, I have to be mindful of proper technique as I have learned over the years using it. Initially, I would get weepers on the upper lip with it. Therefore, no matter which blade I have used in it, I now manage very comfortable shaves. This blade is no exception. I really can not gauge whether this blade does any better that the others that I have used with this razor.

Thanks Joe. There is enough interest for me to move forward. I'll start a separate thread for discussions related to an MrEE LE brush. I know that will generate attention beyond 30DC but those who are active here will get priority.

I'm working on a few designs.

Very nice shave Paul. Too bad the NY Knicks are not as consistent as the knicks invading your shaves. :sport001:
