Most all those orange A/S lose their scent after the first half hour. So for Satsuma I went for the EDT. Am really glad I did. Stretches it out on my skin to maybe 2 and half hrs. Still not the longest time, but better than 20 or 30 minutes.
I've gotten whiffs of Satsuma AS, the next day.....not saying everyone else will. It is the longest lasting citrus I have.

Good to know Edison. I love citrus scents in general, but it's always a challenge that most of their scents don't last long. It seems pineapple and lemons last a little longer than orange and limes, or is that my imagination?
You can actually call me Bill if you want. I agree with you on your longevity point. A while back, the founder of this thread got Rod to make a special run of an old scent (Glacial Lemony Orange). I have not heard of anyone who did not love it. I still have some, but it fades long before Satsuma, which is a pleasant alternative. In modern day "mask prison" my citrus stuff is getting more attention. Not all the scents I love are as 'mask friendly'.
A question for all of the menthol fans out there: do you find that the glacial soaps are suitable for everyday use, or are they more suited for once in a while? I am trying to get an idea of just how strong the menthol is, and my menthol experience is limited. Just for reference, I have used and quite enjoyed Proraso white, Proraso green, Stirling Orange Chill, and and Stirling Iced Pineapple. Thanks in advance for your help! gcc
i only use my lemon chill glacial on really hot days for the most part, but it is very strong menthol wise compared to proraso .the glacial is a step or 2 stronger than stirling mentholated..
I use Glacial and menthols regardless of the season. For me, they are more tied to the scent. Look at Stirling's Frost Drops, a few drops in any soap before you go in there with the brush. Make it as active or inactive as you wish.
I don't use them every day, but only because I have so many others that I also like. I'd have no problem using glacials every day if I didn't have all the other stuff.. Same here. I don't shave out on the porch, so the season doesn't much matter.
That's a good point. Someone here made the comment to me that on a day projected to be hot and humid, how "hot and humid" is it in the early morning when I shave? I think my answer to that was that "well, it will be eventually...need to get prepared".
I started the month off with a spate of Stoylins, then did others, but am on track for two or three more Stoylins soon. Course every other shavesoap day I use a Stoylin brush(I have 3).
