  2. I understand the GEM blades that are triple facet are meant for shaving. The ones I've tried have been that, but there's huge differences in blade comfort between them. I don't seem to find that much disparity between DE blades though.
  3. Thanks for thinking of me Jeff but no need to send it my way. The razor would waste away in a drawer.
  4. Your self-control is impressive, Bruce.
  5. Great closing shave of the Jeeves B.R. Soap/Stephan B.R. aftershave. 0:40 to load the Stoylin "li'l brudder" brush. 2 solid passes. No cuts/Knicks. Nice finish with the Stephan, including the forehead. I'm glad I returned to my "ice-chipping" I do right at the jawline. For newcomers, it looks like when you chip ice off your car after a snowstorm. I'm noticing the eventual pattern the soap will take-right down to the bottom from the center of the jar, leaving a lot of soap to get to around the perimeter. I guess that's how it is with ALL jars, but as this is a 7 oz. jar, the perimeter will still have lots of soap around it. Who knows when I'll see THAT? 7 oz. of soap ain't a Mickey Mouse amount. Anyway..very pleased with this morning's work-Top Of The World Excellent. Now on to some "Can" shaves.

We are halfway through Singel-Edge September and the leaves are starting to change.
Heat is off and the mornings have that chill in the air.
Even here in the heartland, we are seeing a sky that is a bit hazy from the the western wildfires.
Scored a huge succès-ful lather this morning.
Wonderful gleam and a consistency of full-fat yogurt.

Made an exquisitely wonderful base for the DD.
Great edge on this razor. It's about as large of a straight that I want to use.
And in the end, it's the edge that shaves you, not all of the steel behind it.
Accomplished what I wanted in two passes today.
    Plenty of lather for four.
Cleaned the skin of any soap remains with some witch hazel
and finished with the Succès Skin Food.
    Nice juice.
  7. Excellent shave report and photos Joseph.

  14. Wonderful shave Joseph! It is all about the edge! However, there's something about shaving with large blades that gives me greater satisfaction than smaller ones.

  15. As we are 1/2 way through the month, let's have a look at the survey-Man, am I glad I didn't call a winner on the first day, as it sure looked like we were going to have one then. Today, we have a 3-way tie for first place, with Yup, No Cookies From Primo, and Mix Up My Gear-all at 25%. It appears the others are far enough behind that they are just walking the track, preparing for the next survey. But what an exciting finish this might be!!
  16. Hi all!
Got a chance to use a printed razor today.
The Wabbit Razor, B-20 blade, Bay Rum goodness.

Nice shave, close, efficient and light.
I'm clean and smooth just like I like.
    No issues at all.
    I like!

    Enjoy!

    Stirling Spice SS and AS

I am glad that Gary gave us the impetus to do a 7 shave mini focus because I am loving the Stirling Spice scent. It is now my 11th shave with the Mad Max and it was another enjoyable shave. Two passes and minor touchups was no match for my 40 hr stubble. BBS - and no issues were the results this morning. Double portion of the splash was the order of the day. 4 more shaves until the end of this focus. Oh, I changed my mind and decided to use a new pic. Have a great day guys! 20200914_221523.jpg
