Monday's Shave Arsenal: Same as today, but for: Brush-Stoylin 26" Pro-Handle Synth Let's hope the Stoylin provides stronger lather over my nasty cut area. Course I hope my TECHNIQUE there improves, too.

Thank you. Cyril R. Salter French Vetiver is close, but cannot compete in terms of depth. 322 is not just Haitian vetiver, but it's certainly dominant. There is a rich, bloody, merlot-esque black currant that really separates 322 from other dark earthy vetiver products.
Shake Sharp mk1.5, Bic Chrome Platinum, shave 5 This time I used a shim to stiffen the blade, blade first the shim on top. This razor like the mk2 shimmed is all business and becomes very efficient and non chatty unlike without a shim. Frankly I don't know if there is much difference between the mk1.5 and mk2 Shake Sharps when shimmed even though each has a vastly different amount of blade exposure. End result a BBS finished achieved. To reiterate the difference between a mk1.0 and 1.5 is the cap is removable on the 1.0 and 1.5 it is hinged, both share the same bakelite style handle. The 2.0 is all metal, has a different blade exposure and different locking mechanism for the cap from the mk1.x razor.
There are subtle differences between the plates on the 1.0 and 1.5, at least on mine, one difference being the taller posts on the 1.0. What you are referring to as blade exposure is more properly called cap span (if I get your meaning). Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
It is exposure just the blade is more parallel to the shave plane. I doubt it makes that much difference since the angle you hold the razor at will largely but not entirely negate the extra exposure.
