Awesome shave, excellent hardware. Always good to appreciate American made.

 

Yeah, Bruce, I never expected to enjoy this straight razor stuff so much, although a few months ago my wife kept commenting on the nicks and cuts that were a part of the learning process. If I keep accumulating scars I'll look like one scary old man with a cane. I'll start introducing myself in the following way, "the names Greene, (pregnant pause), Jeff Greene".

Balzano blades come to mind, but are a bit pricey.

If you have hard water Paul, then I wouldn't bother with MWF. You will be frustrated with the poor lather.

However, you can get a great shave on a shoe-string budget. It's my slant on The String Theory.

 

Those sound pretty good! No shame in purchasing ground coffee, i do it as well.

I've been drinking this one for a while now. It's light roast, that brand has existed since late 30s i think. Very common around here. I brew it very in a very traditional way, which is really similar to cowboy coffee actually. Except that i use my stove of course.

I posted this to another topic yesterday, but oh well. The kettle-looking thing is a finnish coffee pot. And i've been drinking all my coffee from the wooden cup, which is called a kuksa.

 

That sounds delicious, Daniel. Super cool pot and mug. I love the old iron skillet in the background too. Looks like it is well seasoned.

My Dad was a cowboy coffee drinker. He used to tease us when we served him "weak coffee" from our drip maker. We stayed with a dairy farm family in Ontario, Canada many years ago (called a farm vacation at the time), and they served cowboy coffee every morning. It took a few days to get used to it, but afterward it was good. Coffee went on the stove at 4:30 a.m. and continued to cook until they came in from the milking barn. A sweet family and good times, for sure.

 

You'll come crawling to me, Jeff, if Tabac is ever discontinued. At that point, I'll be sitting pretty as majority owner of the world's supply.

The pot and mug actually belonged to my grandmother. Have several of the pots, but i've been using this one for now, perfect size for one person. The skillet is actually a modern Lodge, less than a year old! I have seasoned it in the oven probably ten times i guess.

Your dad had good taste! My dad drank only instant coffee, before he quit drinking it completely.
Spending time on a farm sounds great.

 

The concept of paradigm shifts is powerful. (Great video in the link provided if you're interested.) Grasping this concept has been life changing for me.
