Thanks Jason. Yes, the Hammy is uber cool, but that at meal was pretty sorry. Our friends in BC ask us every week what we've been cooking and eating. They shake their heads at me in disgust.

Go for the Seiko! (What did you expect me to say? ;)) I purchased a SARB033 several months ago, and it still sits in the box. It is my first official safe queen watch. It is a Seiko cult favorite, and it was being phased out. I grabbed it for a little over $300, and what's left of the new ones are selling for twice that now. I purchased it to wear (not re-sell), but I already have plenty of nice watches in the rotation. It will stay in the box for now.

Then you could like Finland a lot.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalakukko We have stuff like this too, might be too odd for some, but if you happen to like rye bread and fish, i would recommend.

It's actually pretty filling. That's two servings of plain oatmeal, some canned pineapples, dried apricots, and two slices of wheat bread. I'll have something like this about once per day. It's just something I do to keep me weight on target. Anytime I have a slight boil-over in the microwave, I will snap a photo and send it to my foodie friends. Here's another classic, and my friends howled when they saw it. This is what happens when you forget to reduce the microwave power to 50% and do something else while it cooks...and cooks...and cooks.... Sticking the spoon straight up in the oatmeal bowl as it is being served is my finishing touch. Bon Apetit!

I do know how to cook real food, in case you are wondering. These are a couple of ribeye's I cooked on our charcoal Weber grill.

I like oatmeal in the winter months. I bought Farina and I wasn't thrilled with it because it is too bland. I have to add low sugar maple syrup to make it more palatable as well as some fruit.

I'd try it, for sure, Daniel.

This is how seafood is cooked up and served in Kentucky. The first photo is from a restaurant in my hometown (serving since 1925), and second is from a weekly fish fry at a Masonic Lodge also in my hometown (serving since 1919). These are two of our favorite places to eat. We don't go often because it' not what we should be eating routinely.

That looks good, but yeah not really something you'd want to eat all the time.

When i was younger and we spent more time at our summer cottage, we were fishing a lot. I can tell you, zander tastes really good when it's covered in breadcrumbs and fried in a lot of butter on a cast iron pan. Or smoked.

    Ribeyes! My favorite cut!
No sauna but I don't use that as an excuse to not get naked in the backyard.

I Cannot believe I’m sitting here and typing this right now. I am down right shocked. I received my vintage old spice shave mug and original soap (early 1940s) 70+ yrs old! And lathered up like a charm! No need for the grater. I ran her under some hot water to clean the puck and lathered it up and brought it to a face lather. Incredibly thick and slick lather after all these years. And surprisingly not much, but a little bit of it’s original scent came through as I lathered it. I am tickled right now! Only 20 Dollars on eBay. Idk how!

Saponificio Varesino SS & AS - Felce Aromatica
    Feather AC DX (kamisori style)
    Schick Proline B-30

Very early start this morning, lots of work (besides and between the coffee infusion postings), so a mid afternoon shower and shave as a lunch break. Another great outing with @MrEE Evan's brush handle, this time with SV's Felce Aromatica beta 4.3 version. If you aren't familiar with it...it rocks. The Simpson Trafalgar T2 knot in Evan's handle made a bowl and face lather slinging fun shave session (had to clean lather off nearby accoutrements....). The 4.3 soap version is super easy to lather, a damp brush explodes with slick thick goodness quickly while loading off the triple milled puck. 2.5 passes with a Feather AC DX (scales removed, wrapped the handle/tang with corded leather). Loaded the DX with a Schick Proline blade, smooth shaving, no incidents to report. BBS results. Finished with healthy dose of the matching SV FA after shave, which has the consistency of a light gel, awesome fresh fougère fragrance. Easily could be a daily driver ss and as, the fragrance is that nice....but fades entirely too quickly.

Have a great rest of the afternoon & evening gents!
