Away, put your youtube. Yeah... I all of a sudden want GPS as well. However, all those years of orienteering practice, map work, etc.... will all be wasted. As it is I have to stop to think about which is azimuth and which is bearings... I feel like trying to find my way out of the wilderness. Well... not today... its too cold and snowy. Maybe in a few months...
i love my widescreen nuvi, but does anybody else notice with the use of it you rapidly lose your ability to know anything about general direction without being told by some screen? the knight rider setup looks far to cool, i'd feel it neccessary to go out and by a firebird just so it felt at home
and thus we again encounter the problem with over-reliance on technology...PDAs, cell phones, etc, make us a bit dumber if we rely on them. I wouldn't hesitate to use one when driving around in a large city I rarely drive in (you hear me, Dallas/Ft. Worth? I HATE driving around you!), but the majority of the time, I'd rather trust me and learn. Though, if it would help me find antique stores with shave goodies in unfamiliar towns....
The day after... I did my first straight shave last night with a old (100 year or so) razor. I have been reading for months at different sites here and there. Finally, my friend honed, and stropped my razor. I think he is a dealer or something. I am hooked now. I am sitting at work (reading through the Den) and can't wait to get home and shave. LOL My face is a little burned...so I know I'll wait, but man...that was great. Sorry for the "kid at Christmas" syndrome, but man I feel like I just entered man hood. LOL
Exactly my point! Sure I want a GPS, but I don't want to get to the point where I have to count to a computer just to verify that I can do something without its assistance. Woo Hoo! Welcome to the club!

Yeah, I just read about that too....kind of an odd choice if he gets it, he's kinda scrawny, but who knows, I have been surprised before
