I did say that in a joking manner, yet there's a lot of truth in my statement. I do pick up maybe a little bit of the underlying scents with Midnight Stag, but the gasoline smell is the predominant one, and (for me anyway) masks everything else.
With most soaps, usually only one or two scents jump out at me. Complex scents get even more, well....complex. Often times with those, I have no idea what it is I'm smelling.

Y'know, gasoline made it to one of Brett MacKay's(The Art of Manliness)15 Manly Scents. But I wouldn't go out and buy Gasoline Aftershave, or Deodorant. Must be mixed in with something nice.

I agree...gasoline is a manly scent. You'll get no argument from me on that one.
In most cases the only thing you're gonna attract with that manly gasoline scent is another man. Something to keep in mind...

    Thank you, Charlie.
When I drove over to their house last weekend, I thought he was just working towards getting back on the mend from the fall he had the previous weekend. However, that unknown kidney/bladder infection had been working it’s bad juju and just happened to coincide with the timing of the fall, masking what was really causing the real pain. The Dr said the infection led to the creation and pain from the abscess which could have caused the AFIB which could have then caused the strokes and the greatly diminished mental and physical ability. He has a long recovery.
