Thanks Evan! I was rusty and that's why I decided to finish with the Schick. It was the first time that I used one of my larger blades for a headshave. I prefer using a 5/8 blade. Also, I am more at ease doing a headshave with my Dovo shavette.

Wonderfully comfortable shave this morning. 3 passes with the GEM Contour II provided a near BBS finish and no irritation.
I am really liking this Spanish Aqua Velva. It starts out similar to the American version but the drydown is different. Scent strength is about the same though.

You have some "matchy-matchy" going on today, Evan! That's a wonderful setup, and of course - the brush is awesome!
20+ shaves with a Feather FHS-10? That sounds impressive.
Can you use a de-spined Gem blade in the VC4 as well?

I recounted...and if I'm correct, this morning was the 11th shave on the blade. No complaints - even if it were to give up the ghost on tomorrow's shave.

I suppose its possible to use a despined GEM in a VC4, but you'd have to punch some holes as well, or modify the razor itself. I'll stick with the Feather blades. It's less work and the additional cost is minimal.

I was up and moving fairly early this morning which was a good thing. Swati texted and added pressure washing the patios to my "Honey Do List". The worst part or the project was pulling out the machine, hoses and moving the lawn furniture off the patios. Oh well the job is done and everything back in place. I decided to reward myself with a cold adult beverage, shower and shave. The Henson AL 13 continues to impress delivering a BBS shave. It does take considerable buffing after three full passes but the razor gets the job done. If they make a more aggressive model, I will be on the list for sure. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
