As you can tell from my recent posts, I got some good help from the Chemistry Teacher From Long Island on bringing soap from the circumference of the jar to the bottom. I'll have to do it a few more times to get it all off.

good morning gents..sunny blue sky day today..finally..the rains were much welcomed and needed to clear the air,but a week of sun is nice and they will be back,nice easy shave today with the 4th gen aristocrat,fine kootenay blue lather.bbs in 2+ smooth passes.matching splash to finish,maybe a blue edt if i go out.have a fine tuesday everyone..

Love the scales on that MM, Keith. Are those natural? Resin? Amazing. Sorry about the soap...too many better ones out there.

The Meissner Tremonia seems to get a lot of play on the continent, Pierpaolo. Thoughts on it for quality?

I had that same soap (in a sample) in the Rustic base. Seemed like a standard, quality artisanal product.

Forget about the photo quality...you had me at Floating Head and Polsilver. They make whatever Mt Rushmore I have. You know what kind of soaps I like, Joseph, do you recommend the Savonniere du Moulin?

Congrats on the PILS, Clint. Large blade gap, but neutral exposure. Very interesting. One without the other would result in the narrow sweet spot you referenced for sure.

Good job on the razor, Jeff. Beat up old shavers from antique stores brought back to life is one of my fave things in this little hobby of ours.

I've never tried one of those shovelheads, Evan. How does it shave? Similar to other Ever Readys?

A very nice travel kit, Andrew. I often use that same cream for travelling myself. If you really like the Irisch Moos, and it is discontinued now, PAA is making a dupe these days.

Very nice Tobacco Tuesday shave, Joe! Love that brush!

 

I gave up and flipped a few I had, but that was a while back. Won't flip the Lumberjack, now that I know how to handle the situation.

 

Oh man....if there was ever a stellar lineup, there it is! Supply...Jason's gorgeous brush...and one of the best scents in all of wet shaving. A billboard-worthy photo of it all too. Well played, Jim!

Gary, Doc Ezlovan really laughed when told him I just made a football stadium out of the Barbershop soap....you could see the "crowd" in the "stands", but no one was on the field!!

Thanks, Gary. Spoke to the former owner’s grandson, and learned that it belonged to the owner’s grandfather. He apparently never used it, but held onto it for sentimental reasons. I’m probably the first to shave with it in well over a century!
