Superb introductory post to October’s thread, @Primotenore .

I’m in for this month and will use my OC razors more than usual. I’m still in Alabama and away from home, using the travel setup today (and probably tomorrow), but I’ll find an OC to use once I’m back in the ATL.

I did pick up a new AS yesterday. The Piggly Wiggly had some Old Spice Pure Sport aftershave on the shelf and I couldn’t resist. I’ve used that deodorant scent before and I remember liking it. I did go to the store just to buy some ground beef, but the AS somehow found it’s way into my buggy.
Oh, their GEM blades are back in stock too.

I put today's shave menu in the September thread. Amyway, I went with the Stoylin Sandpiper SS&AS combo this morning. 0:30 to load onto the Maggard Marble Handle. First pass went fine, no issues. I was proceeding right along in the second pass UNTIL........I drove over a speed bump RIGHT AT THE END. Everything was pointing towards a "Top" rating-smooth sailing at Porcupine Alley and across the face, improvements along that area at NW Cactus Nation that has been troublesome of late(I just need to develop a better pattern there-perhaps across-the grain). The cut was just below the jawline at NE Cactus. I thought it would be pretty bad, but quick washing and use of the aftershave helped. Sandpiper's scent is quite nice indeed. Super Duper Excellent.

Thanks, Clint! It’s a great shaver, but like many vintage razors has a few issues to be resolved, but then that’s what I love about my vintage razors.

Despite the cut, nice shave Paul! As far as Stirling Sandpiper, I didn't care for the scent.

Oh, you didn't go for it huh? Thanks for the compliment. I was sure the cut would be worse than it turned out to be.

Thank you Andrew. I’ll get MWF figured out eventually. I enjoy neutral scented soaps because any aftershave works. I was in a Vetiver mood today.

I am not surprised that you ended with an awesome C-Mon shave. They were the standard straights used by many barbers in the 50's and 60's.

I received a sample of Sandpiper and Sandalwood from our Andrew from Colorado and didn't go gaga over it.
