Welcome, Barry! A fine first shave for the month. A few folks on here are certainly fans of those English RFBs...
Blueberry soap? Interesting, Pierpaolo. What do you think of it?
Looking forward to seeing your OCs, Joe! That scent sounds great as well. 9 months to go?
Looking at that Homelike razor, Jim, I think it has a very similar baseplate (and possibly top cap) to the Gillette New Deluxe. Inspired by it, perhaps.
Very nice prop, Daniel. We have a bunch of similarly vintage box cameras as well. Kodak brownies and such. I will try to remember to take a few pics.
I find the Lord Platinum Class kind of a 'meh' blade...usable but not great.
Sounds like you've got some work in the hobby this week, Clint. MWF seems to be one of those products that even those who love it admit it takes some extra time.
I think I may do the same as your brush and bash out a CH2 knot. Seems like sacrilege, though...
Great stuff, Danny! We've missed your posts.
Interesting thoughts on the razor, Joseph. Yes, in theory angling any safety razor and then doing a straight pass would produce a similar effect. Didn't Gillette call it a G slide or something similar?
I wonder why this one is just better at it. I almost picked up a nice vintage Hoffritz slant a few years ago. That one is highly regarded as well, I believe.
Love that Leresche every time you show it off, Jeff. A fine start to the month. Congrats on getting that C-Mon sharpened perfectly as well.
Ditto! As long as it isn't Port au Prince. Godawful plonk.
That pretty much describes my daily technique, Jeff.
A very nice Old Type for sure, Blair. Pretty amazing to look that good at 100+ years.
Yes, I can see why your daughter didn't want to shave with it, they are more efficient than they are smooth. Fun shavers, though.
I'll be breaking mine out this month for sure.
Love the Bostonian! Looks like you should send it off to 'Evan' for plating...:happy097:.
Congrats on the new juice, Andrew. Safe travels home...tomorrow?
Awesome, Gary! Your pic styles have become classics. Have you tried the soap version of Baume? Apparently you got the better product with the cream.

Thank you Jason. I am not sure I could sacrifice a CH 2 for the knot. I bought this brush on The Nook BST.

Ya, I'm probably all talk about ruining a Simpson handle...now, if I found a 2nd one? Done.

They had a used CH2 synthetic on The Nook BST for $65 US that tempted me. Honestly with the price of a T3 I would use one of those instead.

    I don't mind the Pro 49 handle. It's a retro look.

He's way, way quicker than the over-caffeinated familiar 'artisan' from north of the 49th, though...

Yes, T3s are an option. To be honest -and you know I've mentioned this before- I wish the CH2 handle was taller.

Thanks Jason! I think my Gillette OT is an example of plating work from Evan, @MrEE now that I think on it a bit. There were a number of replate candidates dropped in the 2020 traveling box at one point upstream of me. He does great work also! Can''t wait to see what y'all might collaborate on.

Thank you, Jason! Do they see daylight often? I quite like using mine, as it is so simple. The slow shutter speed (i'd guess around 1/30s on mine) can be a pain though, but ISO100 film seems to be fine on a sunny day.
