It's sunny and beautiful outside. I'm working inside. From home. I have the flu. St. Patty's can go screw itself.

It was practically across the street from the yarn store.

I have no idea, I went by there today, sign said open, lights were on, door was locked, nobody there. Hung around about 10 minutes waiting for him to show up, no dice. So I went back to the yarn store, instead. Got a nice circular needle and a set of double points for making hats, and some self-striping yarn. He had lots of colonel conks, some nice safety razors, and some brands and stuff I've never heard of, but they looked really interesting. I might be going back past there tomorrow, so I see if I can swing in and price some things. From what I could tell, he had colonel conks soaps for around 4.00 and some bay rum (not pinaud's) and some blue stuff in a big bottle for 8.00 I think.

On the serious side, I gotta give a shout-out to BEHR Premium Plus Ultra Paint & Primer In One; great stuff.

Upon seeing the commercials, my initial reaction was "HA! yeah, right". After talking with someone who used and and said it was great, I decided to look up reviews. Nearly all were very positive, and the few that weren't I believe most were user error from the description.

So, I took a chance. I've heard that blue and purple are two of the hardest to cover colors. My wife wanted the hall bathroom blue a few years ago. Now she wants it a tan color.

Wow, one coat later, absolutely no blue visible, anywhere, even with my crappy skills!

I went ahead and did a second coat, since I had a gallon and less than half a gallon did the first coat. I still have plenty for touch ups or boo-boos.

Seriously, good stuff.
