Very fine shave, setup and pic Jeff! I do the same thing at the end of the shave. Why waste the lather?

Great shave, Joe! Your C-Mon looks well-cared for. You were spot on about the blade! Just a great shave! I don’t know if yours does, but mine sang the “Buttering Toast” song as it cut! Enjoy your day, my friend!

Thanks, Joe. I got into the habit with MWF, but the Nuavia lather is almost as good!

Thanks, Daniel! I used to be a very active photographer, and the gear you see documented my family’s history. Never really got into digital photography until the iPhone made it effortless. Enjoy your day!

It may be on my part, Jason! I drink a fair amount of American Rye (Bulleit etc). What would you recommend?

THAT....is some very cool camera gear Jeff. Shot a Leica or two over the years (buddies gear). Never got a chance to play with a Rollie. Nice shaving objects too!

Jeff, it is fun joking with you, my friend. It's, of course, all in good fun...as far as you know. :) For a fancy-hot-tub-soakin'-with-a-beautiful-lady Yankee, you are all right. :D

That is very cool! Cameraphones are very convenient, i use mine a lot.

I once almost bought an enlarger, but i decided i don't have enough room for it. I might some day start making contact prints, the Ansco has a fairly large negative size, so it could suit well for that. Or i might just use my Polaroids. :D

    You too, Jeff!

My B.C. friend has his first DE shave in years with his Karve yesterday. He declared it a success with minimal blood loss and sent me his mug shot. He'll be able to kick his shaves up a notch when his JR brush arrives in a few days.

I laid my eyes on a Karve set for the first time a few months ago when I gifted another friend locallly. It's probably the coolest and most finely machined razor I've ever seen. I can see why everyone loves them. One may eventually show up here in Hillbilly country. In the stillness of the night I've often pondered, as men of the hills sometimes do, if @MrEE Mystery E. Brushworks would consider offering Rhodium plating services on a Brass Karve. Men can only dream, I suppose. :)

My B.C. friend is getting the last laugh. We talked cars briefly last week (not sure how we got to this), and I found out he loves vintage performance cars. He's sending me sales listings! I thought I was introducing him to the shaving Rabbit Hole, and he's trying to return the favor! He directed my attention to the videos at the end of the sales listings like this one...

I am not a car guy.

Those are some really cool cars, though.

Enough rambling. Next shave will be tomorrow. Hope you guys have a great weekend.

Thanks, Blair! I was a pretty serious film photographer right up to the death of my first wife in 2012. Anita, my first wife encouraged my photography; she thought I worked too hard! For whatever reason I stored my film gear after her death and just never seemed to pick it up again! Daniel inspired me. As I said to him, I just never got into digital photography until the iPhone made it so easy! I have lots of film photography gear. Even an old B&J Press camera my uncle used to use as a photojournalist back in the 20s and 30s. He was a drinking buddy of Weegee.

Thanks Jeff! Both my C-Mon razors sing the Buttery Toast song. Also, I corrected my post. It is straight razor shave #213. Lol!

    Good morning!

Fantastic shave to start the day. Three passes for near BBS. Just the lightest tickle from the alum.

Phoenix & Beau Specialist today, an awesome cooler weather scent. There's something very familiar about it that I just can't place. It'll be a regular in the rotation through the coming months.

    Have a great weekend!
