I was just thinking about Tron the other day- are they making a sequel or something?

Every time I see Jeff Bridges now, I think of him in The Big Lebowski. Just imagine him illuminated as in Tron, but wearing a bathrobe and drinking from a carton of half n half.

I'll have to work on that.

Why do kids want to zoom around on rolling chairs? Daughter shoved herself in chair into a desk at school and snapped the leg off. Her computer (set up from spare parts) that she has at school for the afternoons took a dive. The monitor case cracked, the tower is warped and bent all fubar like. And yet.. I bet it will still boot... didn't have time to try it today, but maybe tomorrow...

disclaimer- I'm not a big proponent of all things evolution, but...

this is a clear expression of a natural impulse to test natural selection. it begins small, with roller skates and rolling chairs, but it gets much much larger. Teenagers driving. Teenagers acting stupid with skateboards and other rolling devices next to or on top of sharp inclines. They're all asking the same question, "will I be the next one to get called out of the gene pool?"

yup...

of course that goes for anything that can be made to go fast and dangerous... boats, skis, snowboards, rockets....

Home sick for the last two days. Not sure if it is another bout of the flu, or some other virus. Just cannot keep anything on my stomach, not even liquids. If this does not pass soon I will have to get to the doctors.
