  1. Thanks

    The CSR radios come up.
    The Microsoft enumerator comes up.
3 unknown uninstallable peripherals come up and nothing will work bluetooth wise.

I tried some generic drivers... won't run
I tried the Broadcom one that many Google/Topeka searches point at... it won't locate devices and hangs up.
I tried Blue Soleil - doesn't give errors and will connect to devices; however, they won't work.

Windows 7 is far from "fab"u lous... Starter is even further...

If it weren't the wife's computer, Win 7 be out in a heartbeat.

  3. Cut my face at various spots(one is severe) and it pains :(
  4. Hey, I actually posted up... I mean... really me.
    I think :happy102
  5. That's so much better than the usual crap I play with. Hmmmm, I wonder if 'usual crap' has a better odor than 'unusual crap'.

    Anyone home?
  7. No
  8. Carry on, then.
  9. don't worry, I will.

and... I saw a good movie last night: Paranormal Activity. It's a bit of a Blair Witch knockoff, but it's a good movie in its own right. No gore. No nudity. Lots o' profanity, but that's not a deal breaker for me.

Anyway, it's a good movie if you're looking for a genuine horror movie- not a gross out slasher or a silly remake of yet another classic 70s film.
  10. Just a random thought from the trenches of my brain:

When you come into this world, you are naked, screaming, and covered in goo.

If you live your life right, you leave it the same way.
  11. Well dang. New computer at work. Using my firefox browser from my Ironkey. The browser does not have the Flash software on it and I need administrative privileges to get access to load it. so no youtube or hulu viewings for me.
  12. you ever read the "seven ages of man" soliloquoy from As You Like It? Same insight- fancier words.
  13. Happy Easter everyone.
Was doing yard work yesterday evening, had to cut some limbs that broke under our snow and ice a few weeks ago, and while throwing them into a pile, I either sprained, or I think most likely tore my bicep.
and of course it HAD to be my right arm....
  14. Hope your arm heals quickly, Jim. Happy Easter.

Beautiful, sunny, crisp morning here. Have been up watching the sunrise and thinking of heading back to bed. Ahhh, weekends.
  15. Happy Easter fellas!
  16. From the lurker... Happy Easter.
  17. Just got done visiting with my cousin, Brian. He is home for a little while from his third tour over-seas. He has done one in Iraq, and two in Afghanistan while serving as an Army Ranger. It had been ten years since we have seen each other.

He makes me proud to be an American.
  18. Ouch! I just saw that on FB! Sorry to hear that!

Happy Easter to you as well.

Very cool, glad you got to spend some time with him.

We just got back from the trip to meet up with my family for Easter so still haven't unpacked and I still have grading to finish, so off I go. Talk at y'all laters.
  19. Morning everyone!

gradings done and ready to start another week. Well.. as ready as a Monday can ever be when I have a long list of things to do before school.

After using my old laptop over the weekend (triple boot: Windows XP, browser linux (puppy), and Xubuntu 9.04) I have decided to upgrade the Ubuntu portion. But that will take more space than allotted, so I am wiping out Windows XP to start my morning. It feels good and refreshing to finally do that. I only kept XP on there to enter grades anyway...
