Actually remembered Tobacco Tuesday (shocking, since I usually can't remember what I had for lunch)...which is good news for a fave combo of mine- the FC soap and Jeeves splash. The Goodwill is an excellent razor. 3 easy passes left me completely smooth. An awesome shave. FYI- If there are other PermaSharp fans out there, they are on sale right now on Amazon. $20 cdn shipped (about $14.50 usd). A fine price for these blades. I left a few tucks for others, I think.
PS: @Primotenore - I tried to focus in on those 2 nice looking black hairs in the knot for you...:eatdrink047:

    Have a great day all!

Under normal circumstances, I would say yes. I chose the Mad Max as a challenge to myself. The "hatchets" are really not necessary unless you like the look and feel of them. I can get great shaves no matter the width of the razor. Yes, your technique needs to be dead-on and sometimes you need to make minor adjustments when using an uber razor. You do what's comfortable for you, but you are where you thought you would ever be and that is a straight shaver. Bottom line: It really is about the edge and not the width of the blade.
