Razor: Gillette NEW LC Thin Long Bar
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
    PreShave: Proraso Green
SS & AS: Stirling Mountain Man

Had to color match the way few people can. Honestly, I like both the razor and the brush. The Maggards SHD Fan knot is a very good knot. It builds a lot of lather, plenty for 3+ passes.

The NEW LC is a very natural shaver for me. It seems to match my style and produce excellent results every time.

The shave was a relaxed 2.5 pass shave with the extra .5 focusing below my jawline. I'm smooth, BBS with no irritation. Even the Alum was kind. I with all shaves could be this enjoyable. I know they'd be better if I stuck with a consistent set of gear, but I can't do that. I have to play.

I'm going to be a little busy the next few nights. My grandmother is struggling with her isolation and those of us with very limited exposure to the outside world try to visit her as much as we can. It breaks my heart that she's alone so much. At 89 she's said goodbye to so many of her peers and her kids and grandkids struggle to balance meeting her needs with possible exposure to an illness that would likely be very serious.

I like the vintage razors because of their history and have stood the test of time to still shave effectively.

Lovely shave with your new razor! Glad it shaved well for you! I have two Japanese straights, both picked out for me by my son, and they shave beautifully and really hold an edge according to Ben. I haven’t had sufficient experience with them to comment .

Agreed, Joe! I’d like to pick up an 18th or 17th century straight for both the shave comparison and the history.
