I haven’t actually used a Chinese blade yet, Patrick. I’d open the box And give one a go, though, as I don’t think there will be any nostalgia with that pack anytime soon.

Thank you, Patrick. I saw on the turner’s thread that you started your resin handle. Did you ever finish it?

I used the Chinese Shaverboy blades and they seemed ok . Couldn't complain for 100 shipped for 7 bucks .

Not yet . I want to make the perfect shape and am not fully committed on a certain design yet. I only have one crack at this blank and I better make it good lol !

My plan is to use the leftover stub for a stand . Hopefully it doesn't turn into 3 razor stands and no handle.

They work well for me. I use them in my shavettes and safeties. I would say they are intermediate on the aggressive scale. Would I buy them again? Probably not. I have about 60 blades left so it will take me years to use them.

Ever find something when you gave up looking for it? That's the case with my MMOC that I thought was long gone . Was digging through some soaps and there it was sitting behind a couple of tubs stacked on top of each other. Boy was I happy to see my old friend!
Now onto the shave . Missed Tobacc Tuesday and Williams Wednesday so I've been itching to use this combo of soap and aftershave for awhile. The results were awesome and I will pair these two again in the future. Could have gotten away with one pass tonight on three days growth with the MMOC and new blade but did the cleanup pass for the sake of enjoying the moment. Have a great evening/ morning/ day depending on when you read this . 20201008_002211.jpg

I heard blades get bad over time and I hate wasting anything. May just use them up even if I only get one shave per blade .

Super nice Jason! I’m with @9nein9, cool handle color.

I’d either use ‘em or maybe PIF, or possibly put up the pack for the likely fall TSD raffle?

    :signs011:

Awesome shave Patrick. Nice looking MMOC! Fun color matching prop. Love it when that happens, hoping that myself...lost a favorite EDC pocket knife recently.

I like those surprises, especially when money is found in a place that you wouldn't expect it to be.

    Today’s Thursday right!?! Not Tuesday???

Cause Wednesday sure felt like a Monday between the Toyo 777 mishap, then playing IT phone support for 3 hours on something that should have been 4-5 minutes..... and finally being woke up at 11:42pm cause the upstairs shower valve won’t turn off....and after 30 minutes of throwing tools at it, water still running.....ended up in the dark using a flashlight digging out the main water valve to the house....so I could turn it off. Lowe’s opens in 5.5 hours. (sigh).

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower / Original Source ~ Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush : Turkish Unbranded Boar.
    Face Lather.
Frankensoap : (Grated) Arko Shave stick + Dettol Original Anti Bacterial Bar Soap & Palmolive Classic Shave Stick.
    Blade: Personna Gem PTFE. (4)
    Razor: Ever Ready 1924.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint Lavender eucalyptus, + Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Arko ~ Cool ASL/Cologne + Aftershave Balm./Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

    Greetings,

The Every Ready 1924 i find the most assertive of all the Ever ready SE razors which took a few shaves adjusting to it's assertiveness. The 1924 holds quite a lot of water in the cap head when rinsing but a quick shake removes it instantly. Just like my other SE razors this vintage lady provides a pleasurable irritation-free comfortable shave, today was no exception. An enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Arko ~ Cool Aftershave Balm.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.
