Used the RazorRock BBS last night to calm any OC irritation. BBS, no irritation, can't even feel the blade. I love this razor. The "real men" on my Xmas gift list may be getting these.

Thanks Charlie. This is our first house, wifey and I ‘built’ back in ‘97. We were fortunate (still are & grateful for it). Worked through all those details with a decent home builder using their plans. We picked and chose ‘upgrades’, this specific bathroom (kids) was left as they offered. Delta faucets went every where else. I have a love hate relationship with that brand too. I’ve bought Delta repair parts for sink faucets/valves, toilets and now twice for a Mixet shower. Kitchen sink faucet was Delta twice :angry019:, now it’s a Moen upright. To replace the whole system in this bathroom would be ripping out sheet rock and tile to replace, in addition to the plumbing change. It’s just wear items I suppose. Just wish the box stores would have the quality repair parts....

Oh well...small FWP in the big scheme of things.

    Thursday's Shave
    #OCtober

    AutoStrop VC2
    Feather FHS-10
    WCS Beacon Synthetic
    Arko Shaving Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Pinaud Clubman Aftershave

I chose an often polarizing setup today that won't win every popularity contest, however I quite enjoy it. I wish some other soaps lathered as well as Arko and I do like the scent. Clubman is the work truck of aftershaves. It may not be what you'd choose for going out on a date, but it gets the job done well when called to action.

The Feather blade felt tuggy from the first pass, so I decided to alter my routine a bit. This is the 3rd shave on this blade, which is 1 too many from my experience. Passes 1 and 2 were WTG and the third pass was a slight XTG. This was an experiment in wisker reduction and it resulted in a socially acceptable shave with no irritation or mishaps. The blade has now been retired.

Nice shave Daniel! It's one of the main reasons why I don't play music when I shave.

Thank you, Clint. I'm letting stuff get to me that I shouldn't. Deep breath, count to ten and go about my day.

Excellent setup and report, Jeff! You put a lot of work into the honing and it sounds like it paid dividends.

I look forward to your thoughts! I know the LEA soap in the bowl is a different product line and scent than my shave sticks, but I'd assume it uses the same excellent base.

Edit: I want to add that every LEA product I've used has been great quality and performed well: shave stick, shave cream, aftershave balm and 0% aftershave splash.
