    They didn't kick Thom Bedlam out, and he was wearing a utilikilt.*

    Awesome video, Jim! I love the 2nd song, too! Thanks! :D

    Had a fun day with the Mrs. today. Went to breakfast, then drove 45 miles down the road to the nearest city with more than 50k people. Did some antiquing, found a couple cool pens (which I brought home) and a bunch of mediocre razors (that I left behind). Went to Costco and priced tires. Now, we're thinking about pizza...

    Ahh, the good life!

    I'm interested in elucidation on the "he was" part you bolded....
    do you mean "he was", as in earlier today while you were there, wearing a utilikilt;
    or, at some point while you were still there, you could say "he was" wearing his utilikilt (but decided to give the Dell tablet's namesake a go)

    The former--though I wouldn't put the latter past him. He did roll on his back to avoid being hit with a caber (think telephone pole) giving some nearby spectators a "thrill." I'm soooo glad I was on the upwind side of him.

    yeah, that's the main reason I can't go this year, my arm's screwed up and I can't throw stuff....yeah, that's it, that's the reason....:cool::rolleyes:

    Jim, you'd fit right in. Especially on kilt wearing weekend. Let's make a point to get together for it next year. Oh, and we still need to think of another NE Texas Razor Gatherer's Association meeting in the coming months... maybe Gladewater?

    We need a catchphrase...

    "Spoliaters, UNITE!"

    "Spoliaters, ROLL OUT!"

    "TO THE SPOLIATER MOBILE!"

    [slash]"Lock and load!"[/slash]<----The exact moment Star Trek the Next Generation completed the shark jump.

    oh man. I had a frat. brother who wore a kilt to a party. Not a good decision. I will say nothing more on that. :eek:

    I wish I could meet you North Mexico guys. I mean Texas. It's a substantial drive, though. And I'd have to learn spanish.

    :confused: I thought that was when they killed Tasha Yar?

    I hope not... Tasha was killed at the end of season one (or was it two?) Too many good years of TNG left after those early 'sodes.

    don't even get me started...I'm in the United States of America - if I need the option to "press one for English", I'll travel somewhere OUT of the USofA.
    GRRRRR

    but, besides that, there's always the Center, TX area....if they have any good places, it looks to be about 2 hrs from each of us

    No, STTNG had a very long and extended shark jump. It started when someone said, "Sure, Mr. Frakes, you can direct this episode" and ended at "Lock and load!" It was at that point that TNG died as a franchise for me. What complicates matters is the fact that at several points throughout the jump, Levar Burton was allowed to direct and the character of Barkley was introduced, thus masking the fact that we were, in fact, witness to the longest shark jump in history. Yar's death was certainly not the shark jumping moment it appeared to be. Rather, it was a poorly handled method for protecting us from seeing the actress who played Yar try to hide the fact that she was pregnant. Had they begun resorting to the usual techniques of creative posing, prop placement, and tight closeups, it would surely have been an acrobatic leap over the predator of the deep.

    ...not that I've put any thought into this.
