    Chiseled Face Groomatorium Midnight Stag~~Rooney~~WR2/Feather
Third and final shave with the Feather blade. I like to bin them before they degrade.
My experience tells me that the fourth shave is never as good.
Indeed, today's ATG pass on the neck revealed the degradation of the edge.
The Rooney had no problems gathering up enough product for a lovely lather.
Yes, the CFG Midnight Stag is a controversial scent, but it is accepted in this household.
Personally, I love it. Even used the liquid soap in the shower.
Hands down better than Barrister and Mann Roam.
On the second pass, I actually had trouble "sensing" the blade.
I clearly lost the angle and had to shallow the approach a 'skosh'. (Indiana colloquialism)
Got it back and completed the shave with the only "disappointment" being the
"prickly" feel on the neck during the ATG pass.
A few weepers reminded me that this pass is still a "work in progress".
You can see in the above picture what I used for my post-shave.
Apologies in advance to Bruce @FaceScraper

Thanks Andrew.....I'm sure I LATHERED the spot to begin with, but it's easy to skip-unless more careful of course.

By the way, we have a nice town called Northport on the North shore of Long Island. It has nice shops and restaurants and a park as well. There is a lovely seaview. Charlie @wristwatchb, there is a nice ice cream shop, too!

SOTD SUNDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 11, 2020

Although the day was dreary, my shave certainly wasn’t. I realize that the theme this month has been Open Comb (OC) October. The safety razor I selected for my dome shave has a very unique head design. The LaResche 77 was designed with what can only be described as a reverse open comb (ROC) head design. The highly arched head design has influenced modern artisans either directly or through later design mods (e.g. Italian Barber’s BBS). The razor is somewhat rare, but delivers an exquisitely close shave as my dome attests this morning. For my mug shave, I chose my somewhat newly acquired Saito SK3. This is my second outing with this smiling blade which left me smiling as well with the results. My son owned two; now I own his less desirable model. Regardless, it delivered a great shave which in combination with the LaResche 77 left me smooth, refreshed, clean and velveteen.

RAZOR: R. Saito SK3 (Mug), LaResche 77 (Dome)
    BLADE: Polsilver
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Argan Oil
BRUSH: JR Rosewood Two Band Badger #378
    CREAM: TOBS Peppermint
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with PAA Frost Byte AS Splash.

    Karve “D” Open Comb
    Feather
    TOBS Super Badger
TOBS St James Collection Shave Cream
    Myrsol Antesol

The Karve D plate OC razor is next up for OCtober. In general, I love OC razors. However, with the Karve I prefer the SB variants. Maybe this week with the Karve OC will improve my thoughts on the razor. I bowl lathered the TOBS St James Collection cream. The brush is really to floppy for face lathering. I did at a few drops of Lanolin to the bowl as I whipped up the lather. Three passes and touch ups ended in a BBS shave. The Karve OC certainly had more blade feel than the Tatara OC. A splash of Antesol and I am ready for a day of working. At least I can work remotely and avoid going to the office. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
