I am up and moving this morning with another long and stressful day ahead. Things will calm down next week so I am looking forward to the weekend. I decided to alternate MWF with other soaps for the remainder of the month. I will use MWF on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So this week I will be using LEA Classic on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This is my first use of LEA Classic. The scent of the puck is Sandalwood and Oak Moss accompanied by a citrus note. The scent is very pleasing and noticeable while face lathering. However, by the end of each pass the scent is not noticeable. The soap was extremely easy to lather and slick. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS shave. The LEA Classic AS was the star of the shave. All the same scent notes but stronger with a wonderful post shave feel. A very classy scent that would work anywhere. I look forward to using the soap and aftershave again. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

SOTD TUESDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 13, 2020

Another dreary, rainy day here in the Philly suburbs serving as foil for a tremendous shave. The NOS Witte Solingen Copperhead 6/8 arrived with an accompanying note in the coffin case stating, “honed by Henerey 1939”. The bevel was still in surprisingly good condition. After a touch up on the jasper stone, the shave turned out to be a blissfully smooth two pass (WTG, ATG) pleasure that put the baby to bed and tucked her in. My dome shave was every bit as good and featured my silver plated Valet Auto Strop VB2. After stropping the FAS-10 carbon steel blade the safety razor demonstrated why this model lasted 42 years until the advent of the SS DE blade rendered its stropping function obsolete. Nevertheless, it’s a remarkable shaver and with the enclosed freshly stropped carbon steel Feather FAS-10 blade delivered a two pass (ATG, ATG) shave leaving me feeling smooth, clean and velveteen.

RAZOR: Witte Solingen Copperhead 6/8 (Mug), Valet Auto Strop Model VB2 (Dome)
BLADE: Feather FAS-10 Carbon Steel
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE Monster Aluminum Tuxedo Synthetic
SOAP: Stirling Glacial Obsidian
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub. Finished with Stirling Glacial Obsidian AS Splash.

I did in my 20s (still have the video). Total adrenaline rush. Only a rolling race start and the first few laps driving in a race comes close to the adrenaline rush. Exercise high!?!.....about half. Most everything else barely registers.

The hardest part was the 10 foot butt sit/crawl to an open door on a perfectly good airplane. You don’t get connected at the door, your wingman jump master connects during the flight up (so you can’t walk to the door). Another jump master checks all the connections. Double jumps with the company I did this with, are last out the door, so the single jumpers have time to get out of the LZ.

Excellent shave this morning. I was almost in Primo territory.

The Abbatey La Mantia was slick and the smell is absolutely amazing. The Feather in the ATT was smooth sailing. Kronos handle with R2 plate. Finished the shave off with some American Tobacco by Andrew Charles. Danny is smoooooth and smelling great.

Now I am waiting on a delivery from the postal service. . Its killing me.
