yeah, could be worse, though, I reckon.

but yeah, I'd much rather not deal with it at all

The more I thought about it, the more I realized, I did think of it, 2 months ago!

Pretty good. It mostly went around us... we got some hard rain for a little bit, but the supposed tornadic activity passed by the end of our road.

whew...that's too close! we were out at my parents' in bivins, so it all passed north of us, though we did get some rain.

did you check out that Asus G73? that hoss is awesome! full of do want. too rich for my blood right now, but it's only $1199 at best buy, with 6 gig ram and 500 gig hard drive. but pentium i7 quad core!!! and all the reviews of it are excellent. about the only knock is battery life, but I'm not highly concerned with battery life for it...if I need 6 hours, I've got the netbook.

You forgot to include the "Best Buy tax." I know it taxes my conscience when I purchase anything from Best Buy.

yeup, I usually abstain from such purchases from best buy, unless I get a great deal (like my printer), but I've since been checking out online, BB has the lowest price, mainly because of 6 instead of 8 gig of ram, and 500 gig instead of 1 tb hard drive...both I can live with, otherwise it's exactly the same.
dedicated video memory, all the reviews say it's very fast, and does not get hot (it has HUGE vents on the back). backlit keyboard, dvd burner, win 7, HDMI port, bluetooth....I'm sold, I just need some moolah

    Happy Sunday, All.

Lovely day here in Pullman. There are big fluffy clouds inching their way across the valley against a bright blue backdrop. Looks like I should wash the car and tempt the rain.

Went to a bi-annual antique show in the big city of Spokane yesterday. Talked with a lot of old friends, met many new friends and saw some really cool razors. A couple of guys collected and sold early, cased lather catchers. One had an excellent Star with all the original blades, the razor, handle and hone attachment. Everything tucked nicely into a little tin, about 2" x 1" x 1". $200 - too rich for me, but very fun to find.

So, the only razor that came home with me was a flair-tip SS (razor rescue). I picked up a couple Ever-Ready brushes for the handles. I did find a bunch of nice fountain pens, far more in fact than my meager budget could stomach. What a fun day. My feet still hurt. :D

Ok, so I've come up with a dead-simple diet plan.

It's like this--we all know that calories are simply a measure of heat, right?

    Well, simple solution...

Freeze the twinkies before you eat them!

    Easy, right?

I meant it in more of a freeze them while still in the package kind of way.

yeah, if calories are a measure of heat, and ice cream is FULL of calories, how is it so cold?

it's scary - Micah scary - that you could find a picture like that...

I love that I have now become a quantitative measure of a thing's frighteningness. It's kind of cool being an adjective! This must be what Google felt like when they discovered they were a verb.:D

By the way, Jim, feeling motivated yet?
